I know SCEA has said in the past that there is something in their code to try and emulate the thin air at Coors Field and who am I to say that there isn't anything. But I am a Rockies fan and I have used the team as my MoM team for the last three years and I never really noticed any significant difference between the Big Flies hit at Coors Field versus the Big Flies hit elsewhere. I would assume the only way for sure to say Coors Field plays different would be to play hundreds if not thousands of CPU vs CPU games with the same two teams at Coors Field as well as other ball parks and then count the total number of Big Flies hit at each park. If Coors Field comes out on top, then for sure the thin air is factored into the game. But I could not be bothered to do this as the only stats I am really interested in are wins, losses, who makes the playoffs and who wins in the playoffs. Everything else is secondary.

I haven't because it doesn't have graphics.

Regarding the previous discussion about the excessively large lead causing pickoffs like in the show 14, Mike Lowe was kind enough to check it on his stream earlier today.

It is NOT a problem, leadoff seems to be the same as last year. The runner was caught stealing but didn't take an excessive lead.

In the Rizzo vs Hosmer stream Rizzo must have done something to cause his runner to take a bigger lead.

Thanks again to Mike for taking the time to check it. He also revealed some interesting stuff about morale in carry over saves.

Looks like base stealing is 100% unchanged in MoM games between MLB 16 and MLB 15. In fact I doubt they did anything to the mode at all. Expect the same MoM warts (like the bunting issue) to continue to be in the game. But at least it appears that they didn't make the mode worse. LOL

Oh and last year I picked up OOTP 16. I wouldn't use OOTP for modern day rosters. But the cool thing about OOTP is that you can play historic seasons. You can even have the game dress the exact same players for a OOTP game that played in the real world game on any given date in history. Mike describes OOTP and The Show nicely (pretty girl all dressed up). The Show has amazing graphics and amazing animations. But OOTP is goes deeper when it comes to baseball simulation. I know this would never happen, but how cool would it be if MLB The Show was merged with OOTP.

Ha, I actually said that one game is like a girl who looks pretty all dressed up..and the other is one who also looks good when her clothes are off.

Two questions for you.

1) Are the new umpires in MoM games?

2) Are "Defensive Quick Shifts" in MoM games? I am sure the answer is "No", but I had to ask.

I just wish they would fix the STATS problems which are inexcusable.

When looking at Component ERA and other SABR stats for TEAM they just add up all the individual numbers and divide by 12 so if you have a pitcher with a Component ERA if 150.00 it messes up the teams REAL numbers.

It does look the same. There are a couple minor things which could be fixed but I'm worried if they "fix" one thing they will break something else so I'm fine with leaving it the same.

With the other additions to franchise and the phenomenal graphics I'm looking forward to getting the game.

I have only played a couple of test innings. But I was pleasantly surprised in one of the innings. I instructed my base runner on 1st to steal and without taking an extra step, the pitcher attempted to pick off the runner. Fortunately for me, I got back safely (I was using a base runner with good base stealing attributes and good speed). So pick offs appear to be in the game. Definitely encouraging.

In my very first game i had a pickoff where we threw over and then gunned him down at second I can't rember seeing that very often

First impressions - the screens for managing have small fonts and instead of lines for how tired you are they have little circles which I hate.

HOWEVER - you can not see the pitch and pitch speed in the Fox Box. There are also splash screens with the 10 game averages and more info stats during the games. I have also heard ALL HRs have a distance now.

Stats screens are buggy - for instance - you cannot see your full TEAM stats on the non-in-game stats page, but you can during the game when you look at STATS.

I have not seen issues with frame rate in MoM mode. OH - and if you get the new game and are stuck on the Mets game - it's still loading. Once it's ALL loaded you can fast forward the game.

Yeah I am not a big fan of the new popup menus with smaller fonts and circles showing the player ratings. But if pickoffs actually work for MoM games (in a fair somewhat realistic manner of course), I can live with the new in game themes.

I've only played a few games but one thing I noticed is when you call for a sacrifice bunt if the pitch isn't a strike the batter doesn't attempt to bunt so manage mode did get some attention.
