MLB 16 PS3 or PS4?

Hey everyone.
I currently have an original PS3 since it came out and have been buying The Show ever since it came out, but I am now debating if I should upgrade to a PS4 thus getting the The Show '16.

I would appreciate some direction.

It's time for an upgrade, some of the things you are seeing will only be for the ps4 version.

I bought a PS4 last year PURELY for MLB 15.

I don't regret it at all.

It's worth the upgrade, I bought my PS4 for The Show last year. This year will be an even bigger difference between PS3 and PS4.

PS4 all day.

I know this can be a sensitive topic because not everybody has the same amount of disposable income but...I don't get why game makers are still producing PS3 games in 2016. I mean, just think how much further along The Show could've been by now if they didn't have to make multiple versions (don't even get me started on the Vita...). If people saved $100-150 dollars a year (YEAR, not month!) from the time the PS4 came out, they could've bought it by now.

For the price you can get PS4s for, it's a no brainer if funds allow. It's not like when PS3 came out and had to drop $500-600 for one game.

If you have the funds to upgrade, you should definitely get the PS4. You won't get anywhere close to the whole experience with the PS3 game.

I too got my PS4 last year specifically for The Show and I'm so glad I did.

Confession...I didn't buy my PS4 but received it as a birthday gift from my wife and kids.

So if you have family start dropping some hints.

I bought a PS4 last year for the 15 version of the game and love it, other games look so much better on the PS4, if you can afford it, go with the PS4

I got my PS4 at launch and was happy with MLB 14, eventhough it was more of a graphical upgrade than anything. But MLB 15 was definitely the full on next-gen evolution of the series. Sadly both were missing Sounds of the Show, the sole reason I missed the PS3 versions. But with Sounds of the Show debuting on PS4, theres nothing left to possibly hold you to last gen. So like everyone else in the thread, if you have the extra funds, I highly recommend you jump to the PS4. You will be very happy that you did.

For me, absolutely but I don't like to give advice because I might talk someone into spending money on a new system and then they obsess over some issue which I didn't even notice.

For me, speaking only for myself, I couldn't play it on a ps3 after having played it on a ps4. I'm old enough to have lived where we had to use an outhouse. ps3 = outhouse, ps4 = indoor plumbing.
