I actually completely agree with the author - I miss the newspapers. It was a lot of fun to read the synopsis after a good game, and I always found it impressive how it always seemed pretty new and fresh. I actually enjoyed it more than the fairly stale sounding radio show. And, yes newspapers are outdated, but articles online aren't. I read game synopses all the time online. The newspaper look may have been outdated, but the content was great. Wish they'd bring that feature back.

Honestly a radio is even more archaic than a newspaper to me. I still read news occasionally but I can't remember the last time I've ever listened to any type of radio.... And the radio show is extremely repetitive. I wish it wasn't just a score-list of every single game, every single day. The nice thing about the newspaper is that its subject matter was diverse. Sometimes the entire article was about the starting pitching performance, sometimes it was about a big trade, etc...
The radio show is literally one format with scores pasted in. The newspaper at least had some variety to it.
I absorb sports info both through webcasts and web articles, so in the end either format would work for me. I just don't find one better than the other, and better to stick with the one we got, since it can only improve over the years.Comment

I think the radio show is meant to replace the old newspaper. Besides, when's the last time you actually read a real life newspaper? Getting a little archaic.
I don't really miss it just because once you saw it a few times you realized that it was just two different fill in the blank reports.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

I miss being able to set ticket prices, vendors, promotion days such as bobbleheads, bat giveaways. The sponserships is a cool way to earn budget but would like to see Ticket Prices and Merchandise sales in the game to earn even more revenue.Comment

I kind of started this thread to give food for thought that maybe the developers would look at and consider. So far I like hearing everyone's opinionsComment

The one thing I agree on: the radio show and the newspaper got repetitive. But on the contrary, I absolutely hate the Twitter feed on Madden. It is also repetitive. If you want something that looks great, sounds great, and has some analysis, I would say the Sportscenter show after every week on NFL 2K4/5. That was one of my favorite sports features in a game.
The only other problem I have with the radio show right now is that it's so monotone. That is what annoys me the most.MSE - DENVER BRONCOS, 47-22 (3-2, playoffs)
