Can I essentially do a double switch in the AL? I have Desmond at SS Beltran in LF Moreland at DH. I want to move Desmond to LF Beltran to DH. Moreland out of the game . Andrus into game at SS. Can this be done?
2nd question. For the love of God how do I steal 2nd with runners on 1st and 3rd? Only sending runner on 1st. I use directional hitting so when I push my LS towards first it moves my batters view. Costing me games and it's frustrating.Comment

Unfortunately that comes with the territory. To only send the runner on 1st with a man on 3rd as well, you have to push (or hold) the LS towards first, then hold and release L2. You do this even before the pitcher goes into his windup. You don't have to wait until the pitch pitches the ball. You're essentially cuing the man on first to steal, then you immediately release the LS and go back to focusing on the batter. I don't particular like this gameplay mechanic but that's the way it is in MLB the Show.
Pushing the LS towards a specific runner tells the computer you want to control that specific runner. Hold and releasing L2 (without pushing the LS) will send all runners.
(1) I've said this a lot. I wish they would implement a baserunning practice mode (the existing practice baserunning mode is specific to RTTS. RTTS baserunning mode doesn't help individuals that doesn't play RTTS).
(2) I wish they would change the base running mechanic. I wish they would get rid of this "hold and release, charging" mechanic because it's not realistic, it's counter intuitive because it locks you into the action. Stealing a base should be a quick decision button push on the spot just like a real baserunner. A baserunner doesn't take his lead and say I'm going to definitely steal. He may be ready to steal the bag, but it's not guaranteed. MLB the Show's stealing mechanic is not natural.
(3) Requiring the user to hold & release L2 to cue up the runner to steal isn't intuitive. Stealing should be a reflexive action. They should remove the "charge" "cue" gameplay steal mechanic to a quick tap of the button at the exact moment when you want the baserunner to steal.Last edited by strawberryshortcake; 08-06-2016, 04:16 PM.Comment

Hey guys,
When trying to buy starting pitchers, what is the most important stats I should be looking out for between; break, control, velocity, stamina, h/9 etc.
I usually try to aim for the corners if it makes any difference.Comment

How do you pull off a trade after the trade deadline when teams place players on waivers? I never was sure how to do this. If I go to see which players are waived it won't give me the option to trade for them.Comment

under the section where it shows what buttons are used for: L2 is for manual catch, but where do i go to enable it? I like the challenge of catching the ball myself instead of just running under the ball and it automatically catches it

Manual catch was, unfortunately, removed from the game this year. The controls section wasn't updated to reflect it.
I'd imagine the reason was due to a very small portion of the userbase using it, as is the usual reason for SCEA's removals.

Assuming that there isn't a way to use custom teams or uniforms such as DD teams exported for use in other areas like Franchise mode? Can't get internet at the house at the moment so was starting up a Franchise and would rather use a created team or uni's if at all possible.Comment

Hi,
I am a recent New Gen/PS4 guy so I am new to the game. I know player happiness is impacted by salary. I am using OSFM rosters and would like to bring up Andy Bentidendi, who has been called up in real life and is playing very well.
But he only makes 80 k a year and I know he will want to make 600k or whatever and be angry. So my questions are:
1) Is their a work-around? One person said to edit their potential to 0, release them, and sign them to a 500k deal, but I feel like this would screw up their cost-controlled years;
2) If I call them up and they are "unhappy" what kind of impact will this have, beyond a short-term decrease in overall/attributes. Will it screw up his development/potential? And if so, can I fix this (ie, if it hurts his potential because of this glitch I could edit it back to where it was
3) When do players salaries go up from 80 k to 500k? is it after they reach rookie status?

In my franchise once a player clears trade waivers, I see them added to the roster when I click on make trades. Sometimes the language is not clear at first if they are on trade waivers or other waivers. On my first deadline, the day after the deadline a dozen excellent players were all placed on trade waivers, but it didn't say that, it just said they were waived (and I freaked thinking it was a glitch).
I was a little upset I got no tutorial (that I know) urging me to do the same, although I have since placed a few guys on trade waivers. But I don't know if they only have to clear waivers once, or once per attempted transaction etc...Comment

Two questions. One- how do you use the online roster for quick play games, do you have to save it first or can you just "activate" it for each game?
Two- what is the work around for minor league players who you want to be playoff eligible?
