    Boeve Extends
Star Pitcher Among the Big Extensions

The Marlins were able to get Boeve on a long term deal, signing the ace to a 6 yr/$160 M contract to avoid arbitration.

Boeve's agent commented that he was glad that the Marlins organization recognized the value his client brought to the franchise and city. Boeve is overjoyed with the contract right now and happy to have it behind him so he can focus on getting better at pitching. That's a scary thought.

Boeve wasn't the only high profile signing during the exclusive period.

The Yankees extended RF Giancarlo Stanton for 2 years at $40 M total.

The Dodgers locked up RF Gregory Polanco for 7 years at a $217 M total.

The Dodgers also locked up SP Robert Stephenson for 7 years at $205 M.

    Marlins Non-tendered:
RP Leonel Campos (given unconditional release)
RP Bruce Rondon (still arbitration eligible)
RP Matt Stites (given unconditional release)
SP Dillon Gee (became free agent)

    Marlins Rejected Tenders:
CL Dominic Leone (opted for free agency, non-qualified)

Miguel Sano Leads Stacked FA Pool
Stars Are Available...If You Can Afford Them

There's no shortage of talent out in the free agency pool. The question is - will they all find jobs.

Last season, several star pitchers hit the market at the same time. Jose Fernandez was one who found a home. Others didn't.

This year, it seems to be the hitters' turns to wonder if they will be employed for the coming season.

Leading the way is 1B/3B Miguel Sano. If the Marlins were an AL team, they'd be all over Sano. Perhaps they should get him and move him to 1B. Of course, what would they do with Davis?

SP C.J. Edwards highlights the hurlers on the market. This 30-year-old has been getting better in each of the last four seasons with 2021 being a career best (12-7, 2.48 ERA, 255 K in 210 IP). Edwards looks like the real deal.

IF Javier Baez has also hit the market. This might be tempting for the Marlins. They love Jose Campos and there's still some love there for Chris Taylor, but Baez blows both out of the water at the plate. The cost...might blow the budget out of the water, but to basically take a page from the A-Rod playbook...a power threat at SS? Maybe...

3B Manny Machado is looking to get (over)paid again. The Marlins made a bid for him a few years ago when he first hit the market and refused to go into the $20 M/yr range for him (he ended up getting $25 M/yr average salary). Highly unlikely the Marlins cross that bridge again.

And this is just the tip of the iceburg. There could be a lot of impact players moving around.

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

        Big Names Ink Deals

SF signs CP Carson Smith for 4 years/$37 M.

CIN signs CF Clint Frazier for 6 years/$151 M.

STL signs LF Tyler Collins for 5 years/$57 M.

BAL signs LF Travis Velez for 7 years/$158 M.

CLE signs SP Taylor Guerrieri for 5 years/$93 M.

PHI signs SP Anthony Ranaudo for 7 years/$170 M.

BOS signs SP Braden Shipley for 8 years/$208 M.

LAA signs CP Dominic Leone for 4 years/$24 M.

        NYY signs C Blake Swihart for 5 years/$76 M.

        Some Big Names Stay Put

SF extends SP Alec Dugan for 8 years/$95 M.

LAD extends SP Dace Kime for 6 years/$100 M.

        Trades

Marlins trade SP Chris Tillman and LF Darryl McFarland to O's for CP Kevin Yaeger and RP Ken DiMaggio.

Yaeger is expected to become the team's closer even though he's a rookie. This also opens a slot for Ordonez to enter the rotation.

DiMaggio is a veteran reliever that should help add experience to what might be a young bullpen this season.

White Sox trade 1B Joe Castro to Pirates for SS Jordy Mercer.

Castro is a project but has a lot of upside. Mercer is a veteran and might be slowing down. However, he's expected to compete for the starting SS job in Chicago.

Giants acquire C Austin Hedges from Red Sox for SS Brandon Crawford and SP Manuel Garcia.

With Posey starting to decline, it looks like the Giants will hedge their bets (and split playing time, perhaps) by picking up Austin Hedges. Austin is 29 and is strong defensively.

Crawford was the big piece for the Red Sox. He is brilliant defensively, maybe the best at the position in the league. However, the Sox still have Bogaerts, so perhaps Xander will move to 3B to make room.

        Division Foe Picks Up Sano

If the Marlins are thinking about Baez, they might have more motivation.

The Nationals snatched up the best hitter on the market in locking up Miguel Sano for 8 years for $207 M.

That's actually below his asking price of about $30 M per year.

Reports are that the Marlins weren't getting anywhere with extending Bo Winter, so that money might move instead towards trying to afford Baez. The Tillman move also freed up a net of about $4 million.

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

With game 1 in the books we look back on how this great playoff run came to be. Jays management went all in acquiring Charlie Blackmon, Andrew Cashner and added Josh Hamilton to boost their roster. They also made trades with the future in mind with deals for Chi Chi Gonzalez, Dan Vogelbach and Andrew Susac. Blackmon, Cashner and Hamilton have all been key in this World Series year but there are many questions to be answered next year.

Firstly, Bautista and Encarnacion will be free agents and will request a small fortune likely. Along with them, Cashner, Blackmon will also look to cash in on their success with the Jays. Finally, closer Drew Storen will want a monster payday after leading the AL In saves. If the Jays can win a World Series here they may let all players walk instead of foolishly paying those players big bucks to decline like the Yankees or Red Sox have done the past couple years. Instead the Jays could look to FA to plug those holes and even make an offseason trade. Here is a look at the potential team next year if all expiring contracts walk before anyone else is signed:

C - Russell Martin, Andrew Susac, Tony Sanchez.

1B - ? Dan Vogelbach and Susac could platoon but neither offer good defence. Hamilton could also play 1B? Also, young guys Alex Dickerson or Jesus Aguilar (DL all season) could compete.

2B - Devon Travis, Zach Walters. Travis will likely be on the block after a dismal season and playoffs and Walters has been solid meaning Travis could be dealt and the Jays could look to FA to get a veteran 2B.

          3B - Josh Donaldson

SS - Troy Tulowitzki, Ryan Goins, Andy Burns.

CF - Alford/Smith Jr, Pillar. Pillar is likely OTB but could turn to a platoon bat in the OF/4th OF after a bad hitting year.

LF - Josh Hamilton. The Jays will likely need to sign an OF or use their 4th OF much more than a normal 4th OF in this situation.

RF - ?? Will need to be addressed.

SP - Stroman, Sanchez, Estrada, Chi Chi, Hutchinson/Happ/?? The Jays will likely shop Hutch for other needs if they aren't filled, but this will likely remain as is. With chi chi replacing Cashner there shouldn't be much change.

RP - Osuna, Cecil, Black, whoever isn't 5th starter, ?? The Jays will definitely grab Blacks club option after a great season. Osuna will look for the closers role. The Jays will likely need to grab a late inning arm and maybe a lesser piece as well.

DH - ??? Vogelbach and Susac could fill this role with the Jays grabbing a good starting 1B.

So there you have it. The Jays first priority will be replacing the power bats. Bautista has a chance to be resigned but it looks like both will test the FA waters. The Jays could grab a guy like Ramos from the Nats who can play 1B/backup C and play a 3 man rota with Vogelbach/Susac platoon and Martin. Martin could DH on rest days whil Ramos plays C and the platoon at 1B. The Jays could also look at bats like Chris Carter or Brandon Moss as well if they go that route.

RF looks like maybe Josh Reddick of the As could be a candidate as well as others of that caliber. The Jays could also go after the As RP Doolittle for their late inning guy?

The Jays will finally need to grab a 2b veteran to play with Walters if he struggles. Travis, Pillar and Hutch could be the Jays top trade pieces to acquire the pieces they can't get during FA. Lots of questions remain in what looks like to be a busy offseason. But I guess that's what happens when you trade for rentals to go all in for a World Series. So far it's looking like it was worth it!

            <table><td bgcolor=#004684>End of April - 2017</td></table>

First month is in the books. And like last year it could have gone better. We sit at 13-12. 3rd place in the division. 3 games behind Cleveland for 1st. 1 game out of the Wild Card. didnt start off to bad. Took 2 of 3 from Toronto to start the season. Lost 2 of 3 in Detroit. Then swept Minnesota in our first home series. Since then we have lost 2 of 3 to Houston, Miami Chicago (AL) and Cleveland. And took 3 of 4 from Cincy in between. Cubs have the best record at 19-6.A's the worst at 8-16.

Offense hasnt been all that bad. We are 25th in AVG at .247, 24th in OBP at .316 and 21st in SLG at .391. We have 47 doubles which count 22% of our hits. A few guys who really struggled last season are off to good starts. Alcides Escobar is hitting .298/.340/.340 after hitting .222/.263/.291 in 2016. Mike Moustakas is hitting .267/.363.419. Only 2 HR but ill take this over the .250/.300 Moose with 20 HR. Maybe most surprising is Paulo Orlando. He had a few starts in RF to give Dyson some rest. Dyson was struggling so he started to sit mroe and more while Paulo played well. Dyson then got hurt and Orlando moved to RF full time. He is hitting .346/.386/.692 with 4 HR and 15 RBI. Last 10 games he is hitting .382/.435/.765 with 4 HR and 13 RBI. Hosmer and Gordon have been the most disappointing so far. Hosmer hitting .245/.321/.439. Its not a good time for him to be slumping. Will be a free agent after the season. If we are out of the playoff race by the break we have to move him cause we wont be able to resign him with what he is currently asking. Alex Gordon on the other hand is already being paid. A lot. And hasnt been very good since the AS break. Currently hitting .229/.313/.313. Was walking almost 40% of the time the first week of the season but even that has declined now. The next 3 years of this contract dont look very good right now. We brought up 2016 2nd round pick Jackson Yates when Dyson went down. His first game he went 2-4. But has gone 0-15 since. He was hitting .480/.559/.800 in 50 at bats in AA. Looks like he will be sent back down once Dyson is back. If he picks it up Tony Cruz would probably be sent down.

As for the pitching. Bullpen has been pretty great (as usual). Starters though. Mike Minor has been the best so far. 3-1 with a 2.60 ERA in 34.2IP with a 1.13 WHIP. Next best right now is Dillon Gee. 3-1 with a 4.31 ERA in 31.1IP. He just threw a CGSO though so things look good for him. Ventura got off to a really great start. First 3 games he was 2-0 with a 1.62 ERA. In his last 2 games though he is 0-2 with an 11.42 ERA. I have faith he will turn it around though. Not walking a lot of guys like he was to start last season. Edinson Volquez has probably been the worst full time starter so far. 0-3 with a 6.65 ERA. No quality starts. His best game was against the Marlins. 5.1 IP 2 ER. I say full time starter cause Kyle Zimmer was called up after Ian Kennedy broke his wrist in his 2nd start. Zimmer was good in his first game. 6 IP, 2 ER with 8K's. But since then its been terrible. 3.2IP with 5 ER. And 2.1 IP with 7 ER. Currently 0-3 with a 10.50 ERA. Gonna give him 1 more start. If it doesnt go well Duffy will take over. He has a 0.84 WHIP in 10.2 IP and a 1.69 ERA. The Bullpen has a 2.16 ERA in 83.1 IP. Lead by Wade Davis (duh). 9 saves in 11 games (no blown saves). No ER, 0.64 WHIP, 10.64 WHIP.

In AAA, Angel Franco is hitting .344/.368/.453 in 64 at bats. cam Gallagher is hitting .308/.357/.372 in 78 at bats. And Matt Strahm has a 3.05 ERA in 5 games. 3 of them starts. Jose Martinez tore his ACL in the 2nd game of the season. Will miss the rest of the season.

In AA, Chase Vallot is hitting .356/.396/.578 with 2 RH in 45 at bats. Terrance Gore is hitting .342/.390/.566. If he can develop a little bit of an offensive game. Good luck with his speed. 7 SB with 1 CS right now. Hunter Dozier is hitting .303/.397/.368. Andy Ferguson has a 0.95 ERA in 19 IP with a 0.79 WHIP. Sam Selman has a 1.65 ERA in 16.1 IP. And Mark Peterson has a 1.88 ERA in 14.1 IP.

18 of 28 games May are on the road. Good teams have to win those games. So we will see what we are made of real soon. Jarrod Dyson will be back in a week or 2. Kennedy could be back this month. June looks more likely though.

Edit: Man. Gordon must not have liked what i had to say. May 20th right now and he has been amazing this month. Got his line up to .291/.388/.424.

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

So with the trade deadline a month behind us I'm sitting at 70-58 with the Rays. We made three moves that have been paying off in great ways. Quick recap traded Jake Odorizzi + Danmy Farquhar for Jorge Soler + Dan Vogelbach + Jacob Hannemann , Chih-Wei Hu for Tony Cingrani and Steve Pearce for T.J. House. These guys have come in and help out in so many ways. Plus with me trading Odorizzi I had room for a starting pitcher and decided to bring up Blake Snell who was my top prospect. Snell was tearing up AAA 10-3 2.17 ERA with 130 SO. So far in the show he's 5-0 40.1 IP 38 SO 18 BB 1.79 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 6 big league starts.

**Wrapping up a three game series with the Astros up 2-0 going for the series sweep and leave me 3 more games on the road out of the 6 game road trip. Next three games are @Boston and with them sitting at 73-56 we're right on there heels for second place so we need a good series. Then off to the Trop we go for 5 games then back on the road for 11 games with four vs the 1st place Yankees.

Are there any plans to make salaries reflect real life? Why isn't this the case already?

There's rosters in the vault with real salaries.

But I think it has something to do with some says it breaks the game but I have yet to run into that problem and it makes the game much more fun.

End of May 2016 Results (Rockies Franchise)

As more and more seasons go by, I continue to see that more often than not, people don't generally understand what is going to happen. Yes, we may think we know exactly what will happen, but we don't. We don't know at all.

This Rockies team, right now, is blowing people's expectations out of the water. There weren't many people out there picking them to even come close to winning the division, but at the end of May, they are sitting right at the top of the division.

                    <html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /><link href="http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"></head><body><table cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" class="osdyn" width="425"><tr class="masthead_alt"><td bgcolor="#0F0000" colspan="6"><span style="color:#FFF">MLB Standings - Updated: Jun 1, 2016</span></td></tr><tr class="stathead"><td width="45%">NL WEST</td><td align="right" width="11%">W</td><td align="right" width="11%">L</td><td align="right" width="11%">GB</td><td align="right" width="11%">RS</td><td align="right" width="11%">RA</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Colorado Rockies</td><td align="right">29</td><td align="right">23</td><td align="right" class="active">-</td><td align="right">205</td><td align="right">209</td></tr><tr class="evenrow"><td>San Francisco Giants</td><td align="right">29</td><td align="right">25</td><td align="right" class="active">1.0</td><td align="right">165</td><td align="right">171</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Los Angeles Dodgers</td><td align="right">27</td><td align="right">26</td><td align="right" class="active">2.5</td><td align="right">181</td><td align="right">179</td></tr><tr class="evenrow"><td>San Diego Padres</td><td align="right">24</td><td align="right">29</td><td align="right" class="active">5.5</td><td align="right">169</td><td align="right">211</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Arizona Diamondbacks</td><td align="right">19</td><td align="right">35</td><td align="right" class="active">11.0</td><td align="right">198</td><td align="right">236</td></tr></table></body></html>

The big crux of their success has come recently as well. They are winners of 6 straight games going into the final two of a 4 game series with the Reds. The hitters are performing at a very good level right now, but the most surprising might be the pitchers. These guys are rising to the occasion, the challenge you might say, of pitching well at home.

The team, altogether, has an ERA of 3.61. Compare that to their combined ERA of 5.04 in 2015, and you have a formula for the success they are seeing this season. Miguel Castro, Adam Ottavino, and Jake McGee have become the anchors of the bullpen. Jon Gray has been nothing short of outstanding this season so far.

Jorge De La Rosa takes the hill to start June against the Reds. The locker room is buzzing from the success they are having. The stadium is rocking. We will see if they can continue their successful season as the season hits it's 3rd month.

That's gonna be a fun race for the NL West with all three of those teams at the top. I love some of those Rockies prospects. Keep us updated.

The Blue Jays have taken game two against New York in the World Series and is now only two games away from a World Series victory! If I win, It will be my first World Series in three years of the show despite playing every pitch of every game during the regular season and ST!

The Mets have been left wondering what is going on as the Blue Jays pitching staff have given them fits so far. In game one Cashenr shut them out. In game two they were shut out again, this time 5-0 by Aaron Sanchez.

Sanchez went 8 innings allowing 2 hits while striking out 7! Noah Syndergaard didn't have it tonight as he allowed all 5 runs in 5.2 innings of work before the mets bullpen put out the fire.

In the 1st, Donaldson started things with an RBI single, followed by a Tulowitzki RBI double and a Hamilton RBI single, 3-0 Jays. In the 4th Encarnacion would his his first homer of the post season with a solo HR off a hanging curve ball. In the 6th Tulo would drive in another with an RBI single making it 5-0 and knocking Thor out of the game.

The Jays now head to New York with a 2-0 series lead where Estrada will take on DeGrom!

                        Stay tuned!

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

So finished my first year in franchise with the San Francisco Giants.

Even year magic happened as the Giants won their 4th World Series in 7 years. Notable performances were:

                          NL MVP: Votto
                          AL MVP: Ortiz

                          NL CY Young: Gerrit Cole
NL Rookie of the year: Maeda

I managed to squeek into the wild card game as the Dodgers won the NL West division.

Wildcard game Bumgarner pitched 6 shutout innings to give the Giants a 2-0 victory. From there we won the NLDS 3-1 against the Cubs, beat the Nationals 4-1 in the NLCS and swept the Mariners in the World Series.

Postseason MVP was Buster Posey with .378, 2HR and 9RBI. Though Bumgarner might have something to say about that. In the postseason Bumgarner finished 5-0, ERA 0.60 in 5 starts. His starts were against Wainwright, Arrieta, Scherzer twice and King Felix. He didn't concede a run until his only start in the world series where he gave up 2 ER. In the NLCS he dominated Bryce Harper by striking him out 4 times in game 1 and another 3 times in game 5.

World Series MVP was Brandon Crawford with .565, 2HR 7 RBI.

In the offseason Pence was resigned to 2 years, Duffy signed for 6 and Panik sighed for 5.

Casilla, Peavy, Lopez were giving their maching orders and Pagan was basically signed for some mentorship in AAA. I managed to signed Strasburg in free agency and my rotation is as follows:

                          Bumgarner
                          Strasburg
                          Cueto
                          Samardzja
                          Cain

Core of my team is pretty much the same though I managed to strengthen my farm system quite a bit in free agency by signing a lot of B potential prospects and 2 A potentials.

I'm considering trading Strasburg for a couple of good A potentials (preferably starting pitcher and outfield).

Just to mention pitching on All Star, batting was on All Star until World Series game 4 when it got switched to Veteran as I just couldn't get constant hits with zone hitting (first year on zone this year) and All Star.

Texas Rangers Finished there first season and although we missed the playoffs, a strong finish saw us finish only 2 games out of the Wild Card. Our record was 82-80, I know this might not seem great, but when your 60-68 it is a big accomplshment. The World Series featured the Kansas City Royals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers won the pennant in 6 games. The trade I made at the deadline to acquire Wade Davis and Jarod Dyson for Nomar Mazara worked well for both of us. Davis stabilized our terrible end of the game rotation and Mazara took off like a rocket ship in leading KC to its third straight AL Title.

I am currently in Sprng training of year 2. I let Moreland walk, picked up Adam Lind to play first, I traded Holland to free up some money. Carlos Santana was also signed to play catcher. Im worried about starting rotation because aside from Hamels and Darvish its Perez, Felipe Paulino (a free agent signing), and Brandon Morrow (Another Free Agent signing). One great thing is Beltre is back and continues his assault on 3000 hits with only 85 to go. Im glad because he comes off a 30 hr season with 90 RBI's and didn't decline much. Only went from a 86 to 84. Thanks SCEA for fixing older still productive guys not falling off a cliff in ratings. On to year 2 and hopefully a push for the post season

                              <table><td bgcolor=#004684>End of May - 2017</td></table>

Did bit better this month. 16-12 in May. Bringing us to 29-24 on the season. 2nd in the division and 2 games behind Cleveland. And currently lead the Wild Card. We were 4-2 in road series. Including a sweep of the White Sox. 11-7 overall on the road. Cubs have the best record at 39-15. While the Reds have the worst at 18-36.

Offense improved quite a bit in some areas. About the same scoring wise. 4.4 runs per game. Up from 4.2 in April. 9th in the majors overall with 230. Batting Average is where we improved the most. Came into the month hitting .247 as a team which was 25th in the league. We finish the month hitting .264. 9th in the league. We have 119 doubles as a team. Thats 24% of our hits. On pace for 363. The record is 376 by the 08 rangers. Basically all of that is from the play of Gordon, Cain, Perez and Moose. Gordon came into the month hitting 229/.313/.313. He proceeded to hit .306/.404/.444. He got on base at least once in 23 of the 26 games he played. Cain hit .339/.401/.514/ with 13 doubles. A little weird thign for him is he has 3 SB on the season. He had 31 last year and 28 in 14 and 15. Not sure whats different there. Perez had a .214 AVG coming into the month. He went on to hit .324/.377.448. Big thing for him is he is starting to walk more. He had 31 total last year. Already 19 this year. And lastly Moose. He hit .267/.363/.419 in April with 2 HR. He followed that up hitting .343/.413/.549 with 4 HR. Those 4 combined hit .328/.399/.488. And man did we need it.

The pitching was terrible. Mainly from the starters but the pen took a bit of a hit as well. Dillon Gee continues where he left off. After a CGSO in his last start of April. He went 13 more innings without giving up his next run. Finished the month 3-1 with a 2.32 ERA in 31 IP. And that was it for the good pitching for the most part. Mike Minor regressed a bit he is 6-2 with a 3.99 ERA now. Ventura was pretty mediocre. He is 5-3 with a 4.20 ERA. Volquez sucked in his next start so we moved him to the pen. He is 0-4 with a 7.11 ERA. His replacement Danny Duffy isnt much better. 2-3 with a 5.68 ERA. Zimmer got better I guess but he really couldn't get worse. He is 0-4 with a 7.71 ERA. Moved him to the pen as well. Kris Medlen replaced him. He is 1-2 with a 5.61 ERA. I have no idea what to do at this point. Ian Kennedy will be back in about a week. No one in AAA is worth bringing up right now. I gave Vargas a start. And it was going really well. He was at 7.1 IP with 3 hits no walks and 4 K's. And then he tore his Hamstring. Sooo. May go back to a 6 or 7 man rotation. It worked for us last year. Might make a trade. Nto sure who I would give up though.

In AAA Cheslor Cuthbert is hitting .320 with 4 HR in 169 at bats. Its good to see him do well since its looking like Moose will be commanding a lot of omey this off season. Cam Gallagher is hitting .297 with 4 Hr in 158 at bats.

In AA Raul Mondesi is hitting .273/.351/.459 with 3 HR. He hit .337 in 95 at bats during May. Hunter Dozier is hitting .293/.379/.419. Another guy that could replace Moose if he leaves. Terrance Gore is hitting .329/.388/.537 with 18 stolen bases. And Chase Vallot is hitting .304/.362/.489 with 5 HR. Mark Peterson has a 1.88 ERA in 28.2 IP with a 1.05 WHIP. And last Matthew Murray has a 1.98 ERA in 27.1 IP with a 1.17 WHIP.

                              1st round of 2016 Draft
                              Spoiler

                              • In the 1st round of the draft we took 21 year old SP Dave Morcaldi. Has the potential to be a good #3. Maybe a #2. Has some control issues and doesnt strike a lot of guys out.
                              • 2nd round we took 20 year old SP Tom Hoyt. Probably wont be more than a #4/5. Could move to the pen and be a dominate lefty. Has good velocity and movement.
                              • 3rd round we took 20 year old reliever Theodore Quintana. Big guy at 694 226. Throws 99 with ease. 3 or 4 years he could be the center piece of the pen for us.
                              • 4th round we took 21 year old LF Keith Camp. Probably wont be more than a organization filler. Could be an option off the bench at some point.
                              • 5th round we took 19 year old Rick Calero. Has the highest potential of the player we drafted. Not very good stamina (and since it doesnt increase this year he never will be very good there). Can throw 95 or so and has great break on his Curve and Slider.
                              • And last we took 21 year old 2B Francisco Aguila. Fast guy. Can hit lefties pretty well. Might hit 3 or 4 HR. I dont expect this guy to ever reach the majors. But anything is possible.

18 of the 27 games in June are at home. 5 of 8 series against teams with losing records right now. Good time to bunch together some wins here. And still doing well despite the bad pitching. Hopefully Kennedy can come back and help out a bit there.

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

Just played the opener or the 2017 season with my Twins. I got down 3-0 early and was struggling timing the curve. Then for an inning, put together 4 hits and a walk to score 3 runs. Next inning, made one mistake to Trout but that's all it took to make it 4-3 in the 6th inning.

Top 9th with 2 out and no one on, Buxton worked the count to 3-1 and I was guessing fastball middle in. Sure enough it was there and I clobbered it. Tie game at 4-4.

Glen Perkins comes in and it is eventually bases loaded 1 out with Pujols up. I got the perfect routine grounder for the double play and started celebrating.... Only for Brian Dozier to boot the ball and allow the winning run to cross the plate.

I of course love winning, but I seriously don't mind losing because it keeps the game fresh. That was the most refreshing and at the same time frustrating loss I think I've ever had in a sports game. And I mean that in a good way.
