And who knows, maybe he can rebuild some value in doing so? Or maybe he can do what the Cubs did with Cahill and Richard (to cite some other examples of bust SP turned solid RP) and come through in a RP role? You could get a decent prospect C - low B range if he puts together a solid couple of months and another team is desperate. Just the idea of dealing him (and for another SP no less!) when he's pitching his way to the minors doesn't seem appealing from a value or realism standpoint.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Devon Travis (85B), Kevin Pillar (76C) and a prospect to the Braves for Teheran?
Otherwise, what kind of prospect package can I get for Travis and Pillar? B+C for Travis and maybe a B for Pillar?

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
The braves are gonna want much younger talent, there in a complete rebuild. Why would they take a 27 year old that is at the best he'll ever be and a 25 year second baseball that's coming off an injury (irl) when Albies and Swanson are gonna be the 2nd basemen and short stop ?!
They can get much more for Teheran IMO
Well do you have any other suggestions on what I could get for Travis and Pillar? Not necessarily from the Braves but in general?Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Blue Jays get
Josh Reddick
Sean Doolittle ( just signed a 5 year 10.5 million dollar deal = 2.1/year
Athletics get
Devon Travis
Kevin Pillar ( 2 years younger then Reddick )
The A's make an interesting trade partner because they always find a way to be rebuilding but field a good team that competes so I can see them pairing Devon Travis and Marcus Semien to sure up the middle infield and wouldn't mind getting two years younger with Pillar ( making league minimum with a few years of team control ). You get someone you can plug in that can rake in the right situation and back end help for piece of mind late in games. IMO this is the best trade I see.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I wouldn't do that. Pillar = Reddick (but he'll decline a lot faster) in terms of skill and has WAY more team control, and Travis >>> Doolittle
This is a really weird trade you don't see often. I don't know, maybe if you included Osuna and Alford that would get you on your way to Carrasco, maybe Nola+something from Philly, something from Pittsburgh with Harrison to third and Kang to short, maybe Royals for, i dunno, Ventura+...
Pillar to Cleveland for Bauer is something I could seeLast edited by AC; 05-21-2016, 07:40 PM."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

I would LOVE to get Harrison, but I know I would have to pay a lot. I also like Ventura. I think I would rather stick to a mid-level deal rather than going for a big guy like Carrasco See the thing is, Travis is rated high and with good potential, but this season in my franchise he can't find his stroke (.254 with 5HR and 21RBI in 326 AB's). Zach Walters who is rated only 68 was on a tear and has replaced him. Again, in the first round of the playoffs, Travis went 1/11 and Walters 5/13, so I am platooning them with Travis only hitting LHP.
Pillar has been alright. He had two hot months to start the year and then fell off. He had a respectable .266 with 5HR, 20RBI and 14SB (458 AB's). I have Dwight Smith, and Anthony Alford coming up who both impressed in AAA and I would love to re-sign Charlie Blackmon. I could always just use Pillar as a platoon/4th OF/Defensive sub depending on how FA goes and if I can't find a trade partner.
Travis is my main priority to trade. I would happily accept prospects in return or some power to replace EE when he leaves. What could I get in return for him. Pillar I could add for a better player/prospect package or I could deal him individually to another team or keep him as mentioned above.
OR I could deal Travis for something and then deal Pillar for Bauer or in a deal for Reddick?
Do you see any fits for Travis? What would be a good deal involving Pillar and Reddick? Need anymore info?Last edited by BlueJays09; 05-21-2016, 08:11 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I started a new Franchise with the Twins. I have an online one going with the Orioles with my buddy. But back to the Twins, I am looking at upgrading my bullpen as well as getting a MLB capable catcher who under team control. My only catchers as of now are Kurt Suzuki and John Ryan Murphy. Any suggestions. I really want Mesoraco but I know it will take much to get him.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Anyone here look good? I could see Perez or Gomes moving, Susac, or Austin Barnes from the Dodgers, all some solid options."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Well Mesoraco basically died, not sure if you saw the injury news. He's gone for a while.
