Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
If you mean adding Contreras to a deal that already includes Soler and Vogelbach, absolutely not. If they're adding more it's going to be minimal, not a top 50 prospect in all of baseball. It would be a Corey Black/Jacob Hannemann/Vic Caratini type of throw in if anything.Comment

Vogelbach has a nice stick but I can't see him playing first everyday so if he does come over he'll platoon at 1B and DH for me if his glove doesn't come around. But with Contreras he can be an every day catcher for me.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Jose Berrios is 3 starts is 2-0 witha ERA around 2. I think tradin Berrios is over paying for SOler. Berrios would be a guy who is included in a deal for a top ACE in my opinion.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Honestly I looked at SS but there's not enough pop out there. I'm fine with Kang playing mostly SS for me so I've got some premium power to go at that slot.Comment

Nice crop of young talent, but I don't know if you want to trade any of those kids for someone. They are to be built around didn't see your record or anything but IRL the Twins are far from competingLast edited by Dirty_D_; 05-28-2016, 02:36 PM.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Sorry I didn't explain myself correctly. Is swapping out Vogelbach for Contreras be better in terms of value ?
Vogelbach has a nice stick but I can't see him playing first everyday so if he does come over he'll platoon at 1B and DH for me if his glove doesn't come around. But with Contreras he can be an every day catcher for me.
But no, Soler + Contreras is too much IMO. You go from Vogelbach who is a back end top-20 organizational talent to Conteras who is arguably the best prospect in a good system (and a T50 in the league and best catching prospect). The disparity there is too large. If you were interested in Steele (going off of your post I responded to the first time) instead of Vogelbach, and didn't care about being 100% realistic, then that would work I guess.
I'm trying to objectively look at this while also being a Cubs fan, so bear with me. With Schwarber out, the Cubs have no reason to deal Soler. Hendricks isn't pitching poorly enough to warrant rushing out and getting a starter. Contreras is raved about, as is Soler, even when he isn't on his A game. Now, if you're running a franchise with Schwarber healthy, that completely changes things, they won't have to sacrifice OF productivity and depth for a starter. If Contreras and Soler were included in the same deal, I think that the Cubs would have their sights set a little higher than Odorizzi (and that's not a knock on him, he's a good and valuable pitcher).Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
The Twins don't have anything to offer the Cubs in an area of need that's going to help them win right now, and that would be the only motive for trading Soler. Trading Soler for prospects makes little sense at this point (and Berrios is still a "prospect").Comment

Well Vogelbach in that situation would be a full time DH, no need to play him at 1B at all when you have the ability to avoid it.

Sounds right as I'm looking to operate as realistic as possible thanks for that. So I'll be pulling the trigger on a
Soler + Vogelbach for Odorizzi + Farquhar
PS. Called up Blake Snell and I think he's gonna be great to fill in the 5th spot right now and be my number 3 guy in two yearsLast edited by Dirty_D_; 05-28-2016, 03:02 PM.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Looking to trade Steve Pearce over to a contender. So far from what I can see he would make sense for the Cleaveland Indians where he can play almost anywhere besides Catcher, pitcher or short stop.
In season Carlos Santana is down with an dislocated ankle for the foreseeable future (2-3 months) and Jose Ramires is due back in 1-2 weeks from a broken arm but the Indians are 52-51 which is good for 2nd place in the AL central only 3 games out of first.
Stats on the year as of July 31st in game for Steve Pearce what is his value
AB 387 HR 16 RBI 50 SB 0 AVG .251
Would the Indians even think about giving up Brady Aiken (#4 prospect in system #98 in top 100) Or Justus Sheffield (#6 prospect in system #99 in top 100) and Francisco Mejia (#11 prospect in system but not rated in top 100) for Pearce or am I getting laughed off the phone ?!?Last edited by Dirty_D_; 05-28-2016, 05:28 PM.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants
