I'd also like to concentrate my search on the OF, particularly a solid LF option, and on 2B. I'd also like to try to leverage my overstock of pitchers to create more positional depth in the farm system. The only players I like are Trayce Thompson, Micah Johnson, and Austin Barnes.

Are there any teams with clogs in AAA or in the majors where young players are right ahead of top prospects that are likely to unseat them in a year or two? I think these players are the most realistic targets, and I know there are teams that have this situation.

    Any thoughts?
Caveat is that stats and standings matter, but that aside...

Here are some guys who might fit your criteria of

-little service time or near-ready prospect
    -good ability for speed/defense
-some ability to play 2B or LF
    -obtainable

    Carlos Sanchez, CWS
    Wynton Bernard, DET
Boog Powell, SEA (and of course the name)
    Isiah Kiner-Falefa, TEX
    Lewis Brinson, TEX (pricey)
    Andrew Aplin, HOU
    Jake Marisnick, HOU
    Eury Perez, HOU
    Wilmer Difo, WAS
    Javier Baez, CHC (pricey)
    Willy Garcia, PIT
    Breyvic Valera, STL
    Manuel Margot, SD (pricey)
    Deven Marrero, BOS
    Andrew Benintendi, BOS (pricey)

With Carson Smith out for a long time what would it take for the Sox to get Storen? Sounds like Toronto would be interested in trading him IRL.

What would Vizcaino from the Braves cost? Maybe in a package with Teheran?

        Thanks, super helpful!

I have the chips to go big and wouldn't mind parting with one of my many A POT SP alongside a really nice B and a C to get some positional depth in the system and on the parent club in the near future.

I normally wouldn't part with pitching, but the Dodgers farm is so packed with top talent that they can't all play, even if I lose McCarthy and Kazmir.

With the way Walker is pitching right now in real life, I don't see the Mariner's trading him at all. They're not really in rebuilding mode right now, so I doubt they are looking to get a downgrade in their rotation and prospects.

But I'm a Mariner's fan and I think Walker is starting to unleash his potential, so I'm against the idea of trading him.

Any recommendations for an OF I can trade for in my Mets franchise? Granderson hurt himself, out for season, ON trade deadline day. I'm not willing to part with any of the 5 arms (Harvey, deGrom, Syndergaard, Matz, Wheeler). Would move Montero though.

I was thinking of trying to get Carlos Gomez back (he's a 1yr deal too, would just be a rental) or if his asking price is too much, maybe Coco Crisp. I need a leadoff hitting OF.

I learned ( being in a Mets chise ) that any trade the Mets make to get better would need to envole one of the arms. There's no way around it our farm system doesn't have any eye popping guys right now.

This trade might sound dumb and very may well have been an overpay but I sent Matz to Colorado for Blackmon and Peter Lambert.

I had the same issue with granderson and a left-handed leadoff outfielder with some speed was what I was after. Can't remember the stats but matz was preforming a bit worse than expected and blackmon was nearly an all-star.

In win now mode I figure the big three arms could carry us through the playoffs but another quality bat was key, especially with some speed since mets have none.

I kept blackmon in CF, shifted conforto to right and ceapedes to left where his cannon arm plays well for me.

                  WHAT !!!!!

You could've grabbed Cargo/Story or even both for Matz !!! That would've been much better.

In my chise I traded Harvey + Verret + Granderson to Boston for Jackie Bradley Jr + Yoan Moncada + Anderson Espinoza. This trade helps me now (JBJ) + next year (Moncada) and in 2019 when I bring up Espinoza if he pans out.

So I have had work a lot lately and was not able to play the past couple days. I still am Interested in Lagares from the Mets as Oswaldo Arcia is just stinking it up for me. I want to call up Walker but his contact is terrible. I figured Lagaeres could come in and handle LF or even RF for me. He is a C potential,so he's most likely maxed out already so I will prolly only give up a B level prospect for him. My next move is a cheap lefty reliever. If you guys follow my season, Abad is just plain terrible. as an Oriole fan I would never thought I would say this but I pitch really Good with Matusz so I may make a deal for him. Any other underrated lefties in the game around mid to low 70's I could get cheap??

is Rafael Montero for Carlos Gomez fair deal? HOU seems out of contention, he's hitting about .198 and missed about half of the beginning of the season and is on his last year of deal. I would give him a chance as a "rental" until end of season.

Montero is in AAA playing very well. IIRC, he was named AAA All-Star. However, I have those 5 young studs in the Bigs and they're all playing good. Thor amazingly, Harvey/deGrom great, Matz/Wheeler good.

Going to start a Yankees franchise when i get home later today eith the OSFMv3 rosters. Don't know everything about there roster off the top of my head, but i do know they have a few aging playing with big contracts. My question is do any of them have any trade value, or is it a case of sticking with them until the money comes of the books? I'm guessing I'm gonna have to wait until i can clear the money by letting them hit free agency.

None of the Yankees are moveable right now. Their contracts are just bad. On the bright side you have a few coming off this year.

Not sure what you are talking about. Ellsbury/A-rod/CC are the only contracts that are probably the only ones that are bad enough to not be tradeable.

Miller and Chapman would be great pieces to move at the deadline if you are struggling. Beltran/McCann/Gardner/Texiera all could bring back solid prospects.

I'm not sure what your definition of solid prospect is, so I'm not going to be too crucial.

                                Beltran - nope
McCann - nothing shiny but a decent prospect or two
Gardner - less than McCann but not a totally useless prospect
Texiera - probably not because he's essentially an injury prone rental
