Sano is already at 3B and I traded Plouffe and Bard for Souza. If you want to know and catch up, follow my franchise in the dynasty forums.

I am going to roll with Polanco right now and see what happens. He had a solid first game.

If you really want to give the Orioles some outfield play you could send Blackmon there instead. For Blackmon you could probably pull like DJ Stewart and Jonah Heim if you're looking for young catching.

EDIT: Actually Matuella may not be getting moved due to his constant injuries and upside. So look for Yrizzari and Ortiz as extra pieces in that deal.

Once again, how is the outfield for the Royals playing? This would have to be a desperation trade for them to give up herrera for parra. The player value is way off here.

idk, few pages back Herrera's value was discussed with some being high and some being low on the guy.

There was a trade posted around page 300 where his value is equal to that of Rays prospect Casey Gillespie. I think Perra > Prospect and he plugs right into RF where the Royals have no one. Cain is out for some time so its Gordon, Dyson, Orlando

Parra plugs right in to help them fight being only 3 games out

If we're trying to mimic real life here they probably wouldn't trade him until he got the hits record like he did last night cause the Marlins are the kind of team to want publicity like that, but after that you could probably get him for like Stefen Romero or someone.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Andrew Cashner to the Astros for Francis Martes and Marwin Gonzalez.

Shields and Kemp to the sox for Carlos Sanchez, Injured Avi Garcia and Chris Beck.

Just some trades I was thinking of in my Padres chise.

The sox are leading the West with 2 games near the break. The stros are in 2nd place for the WC with a 2.5 lead against the red sox.

                Stats for the guys.

                Cashner 6-6 3.99 ERA 79 SO 1.45 WHIP
                M. Gonzalez .263 8 HR 32 RBI
Martes 0-4 37 SO 4.75 ERA at AAA

                Kemp .262 15 HR 40 RBI 11 SB
                Shields 3-5 3.32 ERA 92 SO 1.25 WHIP

                Sanchez .285 6 HR 22 RBI 3SB at AAA
Avi .246 9HR 32 RBI 4 SB and out for 3 more weeks.
Beck 2-3 2.48 ERA 42 SO 1.10 ERA at AAA

The sox are without Eaton for the rest of the season. I released kemp and Shields SO I could "eat some of their salary".

The stros got bad production from their nr 4 and 5 starters and Cashner will take over fiers in the rotation.

SO are these somewhat fair/realistic? Gave away to much to soon or got to much, or to little?

Well first of all, he said it's for his Padres chise.

Secondly, both Chicago teams are actually in his sig.

Thirdly, a dude from the Netherlands probably does not share our petty micro-regional biases in sports teams.

Take your pick of those 3, lol.

Well the sox are paying Shields and Kemp around 5 mil each.
And I figured it was a bit to much to be dumping both of them at 1 team. But since Eaton is out for the remainder of the season I thought they could use both. And thats why I only went for Sanchez, Garcia and beck

                          What about the Cashner trade?

Brought up my Indians trade dilemma the other day, had a few good suggestions. Here is the route I took.

Carlos Santana to the Seattle Mariners for Pat Kivelhan and Jio Orozco. I figured Kivelhan could be a good plug for my AA team for now along with Jio. I can see Jio and Justus becoming my anchors in the minors for a year or two, and in 2018 or 2019 have them MLB ready.

Threw Josh Tomlin and Yu Chen-Chang (SS) to the SF Giants and received Austin Slater, Sam Coonrod, and Adalberto Mejia.

With these changes, I'm rocking a 5 Man Rotation of Kluber, Bauer, Salazar, Carrasco, and Tommy Hunter. Bullpen is looking solid; just promoted Kaminsky to the Majors and he's had two holds.

My lineup most days (now) is Lindor (SS Leadoff), Naquin (LF), Ramirez (2B), Gomes (C), Butler (DH), Chisenhall (RF), Napoli (1B), Almonte (CF), and Uribe (3B).

I'm 2-1 since the trade. Needless to say I am anticipating the return of Brantley and Kipnis as my 2B and outfield need them pretty badly. However, I'm very happy with the prospects I've acquired, and Jio threw a four inning gem yesterday giving up one hit and allowing no walks.

With those stats, Martes is too much to ask for Cashner. I don't think you're getting the best pitching prospect from any decent farm system for a Cashner rental with 3.99 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.
