Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

    Thank you!

Add in Brinson and the Brewers and Rangers deal will be completed.

I'll try to find one more prospect for Wieters, maybe Yasiel Sierra B potential RP?

    Miller for Soler and Vogelbach.

    Chapman sits for free agency.

    Robertson for a B + C to Washington?

Twins stand pat unless a team needs a RP for two C's.

Braves I'll have to decide on. Red Sox have Pom, so with Anderson gone it'll be interesting. Start with Devers +++. Dodgers also are interesting especially if they nab Wieters.

Phillies deal Gomez and Hellickson to Kansas City for a B and two C's

Reds deal Bruce to Mets for a C

    D-Backs stand pat

    Rockies stand pat

Padres I'll have to figure out for Tyson and Cashner. Hmmm, Think Cashner and Quack to Miami, possibly Ross as well in a huge trade. Marlins are in 2nd but have 3 SP with ERA over 5.

    Thank you very much!

What do you guys think a potential package from the Braves for Wil Myers could look like. I have (finally) started my franchise and the Braves have started off hot. They are in playoff contention, but need more hitting. Their GM IRL has said that he loves Wil Myers. I see a match here. What prospects do you think the Braves could end up trading? I am targeting Folty and Austin Riley in particular (not sure if Braves would trade him), as well as Teheran and Vizcaino, but also need pitching prospects, and the Braves have plenty.

I would be thinking more of a Micah Johnson in the Wieters deal. Yankees sound good. Robertson deal sounds good as well. Twins stand pat, I would say. If Red Sox have Pomeranz, they don't need Teheran. Dodgers could be the team there. Mets trade sounds good, but I would add someone like De Aza to "simulate" the Reds taking on a portion of the contract. I think in that case the Padres should hold on to Ross, but deal Cashner and Quackenbush to the Marlins.

          Padres send to Angels:
          Tyson Ross 10-6, 133 IP, 3.85 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 2.46 WAR, 3.64 FIP, 9.38 K/9, 3.17 BB/9.

          Angels send to Padres:
Andrew Heany 77 OVR, B, 24 yo. ("Injured")
Taylor Ward 59 OVR, C, 22 yo. (A ball no stats)
          Joe Gatto 63 OVR, B, 20 yo. 11-4, 124 IP, 116 K, 52 BB, 3.25 ERA, 1.36 WHIP (AA)

Could this be done or is it not enough and the Angels farm is so barren so there can't be a deal? Should Tyler Skaggs be included? 79 OVR, B, 24 yo. 80.2 IP, 4.35 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 7.7 K/9, 3.01 BB/9, 5.05 FIP, 0.23 WAR.

          Padres send to Rangers:
          Andrew Cashner 4-10, 137 IP, 3.73 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 2.31 WAR, 3.79 FIP 7.91 K/9, 3.01 BB/9.

          Rangers send to Padres:
          Chi Chi Gonzalez 6-5, 114 IP, 51 K, 51 BB, 3.32 ERA, 1.34 WHIP (AAA).
Delino DeShields Jr. 158 AB, 0 HR, 21 RBI, 7 SB, .241 AVG (AAA).
          Sam Wolff 5-4, 116 IP, 89 K, 37 BB, 2.64 ERA, 1.20 WHIP (AA).

Padres already sent Pomeranz to the Red Sox for Espinoza.

30 team control and I'm not controlling these teams.

Went ahead on most of my deals!

Just want to come back with new faces in new places game one.

            Tonkin (Twins to Jays): 3 IP 1 H 3 K

Soler (Miller trade) 1-1 single 2 BB (Chapman gives up two and loses the game, should've dealt him Yanks!)

Difo (Robertson trade) pinch ran and scored

Lucroy (Brewers trade) 1-3 2B BB

Jeffress (Brewers trade) 1 IP 1 H save

Nice. Do you mind helping me with a Wil Myers to the Braves trade?

Most definitely! What are Myers stats for the season? Also who is playing LF for the Braves, and how are they doing?

Braves have tons of pitching depth, so you can easily get two pretty solid pieces from there.

Thank you very much! Myers is hitting .271/.345//.478 with 12 HR and 43 RBI. Inciarte is playing left for them and is batting .231. The Braves are 4 games back if the Nationals and currently hold the 2nd Wild Card spot. They are 24th in runs scored 4th in runs allowed.

Myers is getting on Bae, and hitting decently. The Padres definitely won't just trade him to trade him. Plus Myers - Inciarte - Markakis is solid.

If you want Folty, he can be involved. After that it's going to hurt the Braves. A higher up B as well as another piece is what I would imagine.

If Myers is coming into his own, he could be a scary on base player with solid D, and nice pop.

You have to think, Padres don't WANT to move Myers, but anyone is obtainable with an overpay. Folty, high B SS, OF or another P prospect.

Don't know what roster you're using but when he said an OF, SS or another P prospect that doesn't include Swanson/Albies especially when Folty is involved.

At the all star break in my 30 team control Yankees franchise using the OSFM roster. I wanted you guys opinions on what I would need to give up to get a few of the guys I'm targeting.

                              1. SP Rich Hill. Stats: 4-10 record, 103.1 IP, 101 SO, 5.75 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, 1.41 WAR. Hill is a guy I really want to acquire as he could be a big boost to my rotation. I'm willing to part with any prospects except Judge and Meteo for him.

                              2. RP Ryan Madson. Stats: 1-2 record, 46.0 IP, 49 SO, 2.74 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 0.97 WAR.

                              3. RP Arodys Vizcaino. Stats: 1-1 record, 37.1 IP, 32 SO, 2.65 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 1.04 WAR.

                              4. CP Jake McGee. Stats: 1-4 record, 25.0 IP, 29 SO, 3.96 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 0.44 WAR. I would really like to acquire Jake McGee over the other relievers listed here as he's a lefty.

                              5. CF Charlie Blackmon. Stats: 341 AB, 9 HR, 31 RBI, 270 AVG, 314 OBP, 1.41 WAR.

I'm likely looking to acquire 2 of these guys. Preferably Hill and McGee. If any other stats are needed let me know. Any feedback is appreciated.

Alright guys, It's Mike here AKA Tmizzle and we are still moving along with our Twins franchise. Yet again I would like to thank everyone for messaging me in private message as well as the thread when I post questions that need to be answered. But, it is that time again as we are closing in on July and the all star break which means we are close to my favorite time of the season, the trade deadline. I posted before of the top 5 catchers and pitchers that I would be looking at but I have now made my top list of players I will try and acquire to improve my team. I will not trade for everyone as it will deplete my farm system but as of right now we will be buyers. I stand at 38-26 and 3 1/2 games over the Indians for 1st place. We have been swapping first place every other week and I am looking for a push. My first need is catcher. I had a top 5 catching board who I would try to get but I have lowered to 3 catchers. As of right now my two catchers on the MLB roster are as follows:

                                John Ryan Murphy AVG .182 HR 2 RBI 8 OBP .179 SLG 256 OPS .435 WAR -0.96
                                Kurt Suzuki AVG .140 HR 0 RBI 3 OBP .210 SLG .140 OPS .350 WAR -0.18

Just in case you were wondering, These are my catchers in the minors:
Stuart Turner AVG .221 HR 3 RBI 20 SB 4
Juan Centeno AVG .200 HR 2 RBI 14

So as you can see my catching depth is a very big problem. I could possibly call up Turner who is the 20th ranked prospect in my system but he is not projected to be much and most likely a back up at best and I doubt he will provide anything better than what I have. So I had a list of 5 catchers ranked from 1-5 who I would keep an eye on and now for me it will be down to 3.

                                1. Jonathan Lucroy AVG .213 HR 7 RBI 20 OBP .303 SLG .371 OPS .674
Lucroy is the ideal catcher to acquire and he is a hot topic in real life as well. In my game he is still having not as good of a season as he would hope too but he is playing for a very bad Brewers team (Currently 22-43, 4th place in NL Central). Lucroy is the best catcher out there available for teams to acquire who are in dire need of a catcher which would include me. Lucroy has contact and very good defense. He doesn't have much power but my lineup has enough power (Leading MLB with 118) so I am not worried about that. The big concern is what will I need to give up for Lucory who just happens to be a rental. As a low budget franchise, signing him in the off season to an extension is relatively small. For sure I would have to part with a Top 10 prospect for him to start the deal out.

                                2. Devin Mesoraco
Mesoraco just started his rehab assignment since getting hurt in spring training so trading for him would be a risk to get hurt again. The Reds are 21-44 and sit dad last in the NL Central. Getting Mesoraco could be A cheaper price since he has been hurt all season. The thing that would drive his price up is that he is under contract two more years after 2016. I have always liked Mesoraco so he would be my first target for a new starting catcher. in Triple-A so far he is hitting .273 with 1 Home Runs and 5 RBI's. I will follow his rehab assignment before I try to offer something for him.

                                3. Blake Swihart
This is a new catcher that was added to the list. The Red Sox are dead last in the Al East at 26-37 and they are 10.5 games out of first and 9.5 games out of second. Blake is rotting in Triple-A as of right now while Christian Vazquez has solidified himself as the everyday starting catcher. Blake is hitting .231 with 1 HR and 10 RBI in Triple-A. I literally have no idea what I would need to give up for him as he is not established like fellow catching mates Lucroy and Mesoraco.

Andrew Susac was dropped from the list because he got hurt as well as Stephen Vogt. Norris is another honorable mention for catcher. Nick Hundley also got hurt so he dropped down the list.

Now for starters, the top two targets we were looking at were Pomeranz and Patrick Corbin. My rotation is really hurting without a lefty.

                                Drew Pomeranz W-L 4-4 IP GS 13 85.2 ERA 2.21 WHIP 1.19 WAR 1.39
Pomeranz is having a solid first half so far. He will get roughly 5-6 more starts before the trade deadline so we will keep him monitored until then. As we know the Red Sox traded for him IRL for Anderson Espinoza so it should take around the haul for him.

                                Patrick Corbin W-L 5-5 GS 14 83.2 IP ERA 2.90 WHIP 1.15 WAR 0.93
Corbin is a guy I would love to get and I wouldn't mind parting with some top prospects to acquire. I would surely part with two top five prospects to get him. Jay and Polanco or Jay and Kohl Stewart. Corbin is also under team control for one more year and is a year younger. But he is much established over Pomeranz who has never pitched over 100 innings before.

Now another route I could go is suring up the bullpen and a guy I am eyeing is a lefty specialist. Venters came over in the Souza Jr deal and he has been hit just as hard as Fernando Abad was so a lefty is something I really need badly. A guy that comes to mind is Tony Sipp from the Astros who is on the trade block. Sipp is 1-3 in 25 IP 28 So 11 BB 3.60 ERA 1.40 WHIP and a 0.41 WAR. I believe a mid tier prospect could fetch the lefty specialist.

These are the players I am eyeing so let me know what you think.
