    LAA receives:
    3B Pablo Sandoval
    LF Rusney Castillo
    CF Jackie Bradley Jr
    C/OF Blake Swihart
    P Eduardo Rodriguez
    2B Yoan Moncada

    BOS receives:
    CF Mike Trout
    1B/DH Albert Pujols
    P Matt Shoemaker

Sorta makes a little sense, but then you'd most likely have the Angels' fan base implode even with a return like that
DeRosa cracks me up but I am sure the Angels are glad he's not their GM. If Trout got traded they could ask for anything they wanted really. I would think they would want highly regarded prospects since their farm is so depleted. Something like:

    Yoan Moncada
    Andrew Benintendi
    Rafael Devers
    Michael Kopech
    Brian Johnson or Eduardo Rodriguez

    for Mike Trout alone.

As much as I'd love Trout on the Red Sox putting him or Bradley Jr. in LF is kind of a waste as far as their defensive abilities is concerned. If I'm the Angels I'd make that trade in a heartbeat.

Two if the six pieces from Boston are hot fiery garbage (Panda and Castillo)

Angels probably hang up on anything less than Betts, Moncada, Benintendi +. I realize that is an absurd amount of talent to trade but Trout is honestly a once in a generation talent. The kid is 24, an annual 10 WAR guy, is going to hit 1,000 hits by his age 25 season, and I could go on and on about him

        Have mercy.

It'd take Edro + Benintendi + Espinoza's ghost + Moncada + Swihart + Groome + Kopech to land Trout. Angels have no reason at all to deal him, they could command 5 top prospects plus MLB talent for Trout.

Adding in Panda and Pujols and all the others is just ridiculous.

Y'all are forgetting Bogaerts in that package. It's something like Betts, Bogaerts, Moncada/Benintendi, Espinoza's ghost, Kopech, Groome, Swihart, E-Rod and probably Devers. They want young MLB talent, plus top prospects.

And then I'd say it's not worth it.

It might fair value, but nope I'd hate it. Bankrupting your organization for one man...no thanks.

I think the only reason he added in Pujols is because he's a guy that could replace Ortiz at DH after this season. Shipping out Panda would just be to dump his salary. But I agree it would take at least Benintendi and another pitcher or Mookie in addition to that list for LAA to even remotely think about it. Trout's worth is insane, considering he's under control till 2020 and so young.

Think it STARTS with Betts, X, Benintendi and Moncada and on from there

He also had Chance Sisco for Hector Santiago. And he was completely serious.

                        MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

I was planning on grabbing Benoit for Storen in my franchise like in real life but Storen is pitching a bit better and is 10 years younger.

                        Storen - 1-3, 28.2IP, 34k, 2.83 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, 0.86 WAR, 10.67 K/9, 1.99 FIP

                        Benoit - 0-4, 22.2 IP, 25K, 3.18 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 0.09 WAR, 9.93 K/9, 4.32 FIP.

Storen makes 2.3 M this year in mine compared to Benoit 4.9. Both free agent at seasons end.

Could I get Steve Cishek with Benoit? His stats are 4.33 ERA, 1.53 WHiP, 39K/20BB, 19/25 SV, 0.58 WAR, 3.23 FIP.

The deal would be 1 younger better reliever for 2 older more expensive relievers. Seattle is 6 games back of a wild card spot and they have a decent bullpen. They would clear up 6.4 Mil in salary to upgrade other positions due to injury. I would get 2 solid bullpen arms for my playoff run rather than 1 younger/better.

Who are some of the better frontline starter's I could get if I build a package around Zack Wheeler or Steven Matz as the Mets ? Could either of those be a starting point for Archer ??? I would prefer to build a package around Wheeler and some other prospects for Archer if possible but you guys can let me know if that's fair

Yes I know the Mets don't need pitching lol but bare with me lol

                          Thanks in advance

I know you realize the Mets don't need more pitching, but they wouldn't deal pitchers to get other pitchers. They'd deal one of those guys to get a middle of the order hitter.

I def get that I just wanted to get some new faces in my rotation. Seems like your a Cubs fan tho so maybe you help me out with this other proposal.. How would both teams feel about a Wheeler for Baez swap ? Both struggled during my first year in the franchise. Would that be fair and if not who would have to add more (I'm assuming the Mets )
