Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I wonder if the Brewers passed on Gallo. Dude has looked helpless at the plate since he got called upComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I think the Rangers were smart as hell and worked magic in upgrading their playoff run without having to deal Mazara, Gallo and Profar. Now I know I can upgrade my Twins team without dealing my 3 top guys lolFollow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Agreed. He has looked absolutely clueless. As a Rangers fan, I was sorta hoping he was in the Lucroy deal. Gallo has insane power. But, he has a lot of work to do. His approach at the plate, is nauseating.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
He's from Louisiana there's a reason the Rangers weren't on the NTC. We can't forget people don't go out of their way to live in Cleveland. (Sorry to anyone from NE Ohio)Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
That and really the influence of what's happening in your franchise as well.
People talking about how Gallo is struggling, for example. That's true irl.
In mine he's leading the league in WAR through the first half, has 80 game power, and is a .290-.310 hitter with that power.
There's always going to be differences. It is a tool and never has been more than that. The views are more data points for consideration. I don't think anyone who participates here sees it as any more than that.
Plus, no one knows what "will" happen irl or how a team "would" view things. Again, it's opinions and I don't think anyone sees it as more.
Plus...the main point of the thread, from what I've seen it mentioned...was to keep from ripping the AI off in the video game."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I don't remember this particular situation, but Beltran may not have been performing as well as IRL. No need to be calling someone "wrong as hell"Chicago Cubs

I'm just saying that this thread has always been "just a tool" or opinions-as-data-points.
No one here claims what they say is absolute truth or what will be."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

It's just a phrase dude. But why did get it wrong and I remember that was the answer the guy got. He may not have had the season in the game he was having in real life though like you saidFollow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So it was a very interesting trade deadline. Around this time, most of us like to mirror the moves our team we are playing with made. As I am the Twins, some of the moves would hurt me team rather than helping since in my franchise I am in the playoff hunt. The one move I will copy for sure is the Nolasco and Meyer trade for Hector Santiago and Busenitez. The other deal I may do is the Nunez deal as I am looking for a way for Polanco to stay on the roster when Dozier comes back. I don't think I will trade Abad but I have not decided yet. I have my own two deal I will be making in Mesoraco and Will Smith. Smith was traded yesterday as well so I will do my best to Mirror that move. All in all it was a very fun non waiver trade deadline this year. Now the waiver trade deadline begins!Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment
