In the beginning of my second season and one of the teams I control is my tigers. Just looking at what packages would look like if I wanted to fully rebuild. What are the base values of Castellanos, Miggy, Kinsler, JV

You're really not going to like the answer.

JV has very little value. A 2-3 WAR pitcher who is already 33 y/o and has $134 million left on his deal is a tough sell. It would need to be a big market team and they wouldn't give up much unless they were getting serious salary relief.

Miggy is great, but no sane team would want to pay him $92 million in his age 40-42 seasons so that will be pretty preventative.

Castellanos has literally never seen a pitch he didn't want to swing at, but he is still young and has the post-hype shine to him. You could probably get something decent back for him, likely something in the B potential range.

Kinsler is a good second baseman and will make a reasonable salary, but he is also getting up there in age. Maybe a package like what Zobrist was traded for.

Miggy is interesting and would be case sensitive. Say Gonzalez goes down for the Dodgers and they need a replacement at 1B they might be willing to light money on fire once Miggy hits 40 in order to win a title now.

Detroit just kind of painted themselves into a corner with the long term deals they did.

Trust me, I know lol same with all our teams honestly. Lots of horrible contracts on all major teams here.

And I'm all in in the rebuild here. So getting rid of jv, miggy, kinsler are ideal. Wanna see if I can make a play for Harper if he hits FA when his deals up

I think you are right on with Kinsler actually. I honestly don't think you want Ellsbury. He is an injury risk that gets all his value from speed, which regresses as you get older. And I can't think of a team that would take on Miggys 10 year 200+ million dollar contract. I don't even think if he was on the Red Sox they could move that contract without giving up Moncada and one of Devers, Benintendi, or Espinoza. His contract is so bad...like Gamecocks said he is getting paid 90 million when he is 40-42.

I would go to FA and find someone else. I can't see spending that money on Ellsbury. He is a good player and wanted to sign him when he hit FA but when I saw the contract came out I hated it. I would've went with something like 5 yrs $100MM.

Maybe not the most realistic trade but would the Mets do Wheeler+Duda for Encarnacion? I can include Smoak if the Mets would want a nice bench piece for their playoff run.

3. Yes everyone here has value, the point of this deal...

4. It's only one of the big 3, my post had a typo.

5. Swihart + Owens + One of big 3 (Epinoza) + Devers + Chavis/Ball could be the full deal. Honestly nothing less than that.

Ok. Have fun with that. Except Miggy was 24 and averaging almost 4 WAR when he was traded, whereas Freeman is almost 27 and averaging less than 3 WAR. And Teheran is averaging almost a win and a half per 200 IP than Willis was. But if you want to believe what you want to believe, that's your prerogative.

There is nothing to put together. He has been a below average pitcher on the sum of his career. Way, way worse than Willis.

Chavis/Ball have no value, I don't know why you keep mentioning them.

I am at the trade deadline with my Brewers franchise & I would like to trade Braun & Lucroy to the Rangers. I was thinking of taking Desmond from the Rangers to offset some of Braun's contract but I don't know who else to take that would be fair. I would prefer pitching. Like Tate & Ortiz for example. Was wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks

What can I get from the Yankees for Havery. He's killing for me but I know he's gonna leave. Didn't want to over value him. Or could I get more trading him else where ?
