Im pretty attached to my team aswell, 4 seasons in, play alot of games, just winning my first world series two days ago, and awaiting 16

I guess i can wait a bit, but hopefulyl they are able to patch the Morale issue and things such as stats etc.

So, to clarify, if I have a carryover franchise file, and it's say in June of 2015, I import it into 2016 and simulate to the start of 2016, what exactly is fixed?

Does simulating to the end of the year correct the morale and region?

LuisSCEA said that the off season self corrects the morale.
The region is still at issue.

I'm in the same boat. I'm in year 5 of a carry over franchise from 14, played every inning of every game. I'm going to start a new franchise to try out the fish eye camera and give dynamic difficulty a full try. This year I only used it for pitching. Hopefully by the time I have everything to my liking there will be a patch to fix the issue.

So if we are in the off-season and move into Spring Training, will the morale self correct? Or do we have to be in the prior season and moving into the off-season triggers the correction? Just curious if anyone knows the best time to transfer (as I don't want to sim an entire season): Last day of regular season; Last day of World Series; Any time in the off-season; Spring Training

yeah to echo the member above me, i just finished Game 7 of the world series lol, but have not yet advanced to offseason, will that correct it?

If you carryover from where you are, then advance to the off-season should fix it, come the next year.

You could always try it and sim forward and see what happens. Your MLB15 save doesn't go away, so you could always "re-carryover" <--- lol.

The Player Role issue will resolve at the moment you select to "Advance to Offseason," this is what we consider to be the start of the next season (sorry for not being as clear last time). The Birthplace and Stats issues are separate and will not resolve at this point.

Two more things to note:

1. Player Role is just one category out of seven that make up a player's Morale.

2. We designed the system so that players with uncommon Birthplaces would not have the Region/Compatriot preference, so this issue shouldn't affect Morale too much.

When you carryover a franchise roster do the new ratings come in? Like in the last osfm roster ryan goins is a 62 overall but in the new one he is 71..

whatever he is rated in your current franchise is what will carry over.

and also for any of the other posters here, i saw there were a few saying that the GM goals were a bit off in the carry over? was that an isolated issue? ill be picking up the game tomorrow!

I think he's just saying that region and stats won't be resolved automatically at the end of the season in the current version, as opposed to role which will. I don't think he meant anything in regards to the patch.

I'm thinking for franchise this might not be that big of a deal.. If all teams in the league are affected the same way, than whatever decrease in ratings that happens should be pretty similar across the board, right?

It's been asked on this thread before, but I think it needs to be clarified.

If we start playing our carry over saves, will the eventual patch still correct the issues, or do we need to wait for a patch BEFORE we continue our year to year saves?

Any answer, even a "we don't know yet", would be extremely helpful and will have a huge impact on my play tomorrow when the game launches.

Sorry hate to ask a direct to Dev question but I feel this is a big deal among all year to year save players.

Not a dev obviously, but every other year the patches worked with existing franchises. Meaning if you carryover your franchise now and a patch comes out in a month it would fix the issue. I'm guessing it would be the same this year.
