I actually wasn't aware that you could turn autosave off. I must have missed it in the menus. Its driven me nuts for years. I honestly don't want the game to ever autosave. The whole system drives me nuts.

My short list consists of Texas, San Diego, the Washington and my beloved A's. once i have enough time (work nights) to really sit down and get into the game and get a whole game in or a few games in i will make my decision... until then however i am stuck in limbo.
Why not stick with your A's, and sim through a few seasons while building the team through the offseasons? That's what I always used to do with the Cubs. This will honestly be the first season I've ever played the show (started in 2008), where I'm playing the season that the game has come out. Get your team where you want it, then start playing the games.

You know what? Screw this! I want to start my franchise now. And I was telling my wife today how it's going to be no fun with the Cubs because I'm going to dominate this year. I prefer a pennant race, not winning the division by 15 games. And I had the 1989 rosters from 15, so I'm using those and starting my franchise right now.

I'm really good at this solution stuff.

Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!

I will dive in with my carry over franchise.

I will probably grab OSFM at some point as I usually do. But I'll probably start another franchise right off the bat. It's all fantasy as soon as players change/develop anyway in my view

Other than that - if I do any test games, it's to see how my sliders react to the new game, but even then I'll just alter as I go if need be.

Pennant race? Pffffft! I plan on winning the division in August with the Cubs this year!

Can you export a player straight from 15 into 16? Or did you have to carry over a 15 save to 16 and then export them?

OSFM is the only way I can enjoy the experience. Going to try and play one game a series and embrace simming a good portion of my season because playing all 162 games + playoffs and getting 5+ seasons into my franchise hasn't worked.

That or maybe do the same thing and start a RTTS with a current Blue Jays minor leaguer. Not sure yet. Decisions decisions.

Oh great idea I didn't think about that before. I have yet to even have time to play the game yet and I am not going to start franchise in till I have time to play the game and get good sliders as I find it tends to take me a month or so to get good sliders set on sports games but it I get good sliders set and the rosters are not out yet for this years maybe I will do that. But I also just remember if you do that than you are not going to have all the players who changed teams this last year on there new teams. Any way to make a roster with all of those players but into this years game so that way you are not stuck with players on there old teams form last year?

This is truth. These early weeks of the game are when you can fly through months in your season with the game feeling fresh and exciting.
