Re: Baserunning
The auto base running issue will be rectified in an update. Users who are experiencing the "diving back" is caused by user error, make sure you don't hit the L1 and/or R1 button on accident when your swinging.Comment

Re: Baserunning
Based on how I hold the controller, I know that I didn't hit either R1 or L1 buttons (or the R2/L2 for that matter), so I'd assume that there is another factor at play (in addition to possible user error).Comment

Re: Baserunning
Do you know if Auto Baserunning will go back to being like previous years where you could take a lead and/or que a steal without triggering Manual Baserunning? With my baserunning currently working (other than leads and steals), that is the issue I'm most concerned with.
Thanks again!Comment

Re: Baserunning
100% not hitting the R1/L1 buttons. But I've only had the dive back happen 3 times.Comment

Re: Baserunning
1) Not pressed
2) Pressed
3) Held
4) Released
So, if at the hit, the controller was in state 2 or 3 for whatever reason, you may see the behavior you are describing. On our end, clearing the shoulder button state on the hit and requiring a new, physical press should resolve the issue regardless of the cause..."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Re: Baserunning
Assuming that you did not queue up a lead or steal, which I think switches to manual control this year, I am not sure. This issue is being investigated..."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Re: Baserunning
I've had this controller for about 3 months and my last game I made sure that my fingers weren't anywhere around L1/R1 or the bumpers and I still saw my runners scrambling back to the bag, 3 times actually. I use directional hitting and auto base running so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I really don't think it has anything to do with user error, unless the majority of people reporting this issue on the bugs thread have crappy controllers. If a fix for auto base running which eliminates any user input on the controller cancelling auto base running then I would be happy.Last edited by JayD; 04-14-2016, 07:24 PM.Comment

Re: Baserunning
I am glad to hear this issue is being worked on, but I would like to
Reiterate that I am NOT hitting any buttons including L1 or L2 while swinging, nor am I queueing steals (though I wish I could again without it defaulting to manual BR) or lead offs. The sliding back to the base/not running on base hits/ not running on two out batted ball contact happens regardless and is NOT a user error. I keep getting told that and it's kinda irritating to be accused multiple times of creating the bug that makes the game unplayable for me. I didn't develop it. I am playing the game exactly as I always have. Please return to baserunning exactly as last year when using auto baserunning so I can play the game again. I hope this is patched soon.Comment
