Re: Baserunning
Surprised there isn't more widespread complaint about this issue. Are us auto-base runners really that big a minority? The game is completely unplayable to me right now. I just had at least 6 different issues in one game where a guy either got forced on a baseball for not running, or base runners didn't run with two out contact. I am not touching anything, so I'm not making this happen. It's also incredibly random.Comment

Re: Baserunning
Same here. Very frustrating. I posted on the "first impressions" thread and got a suggestion to set base running on default. I thought it was the fix, but it isn't. I'm also shocked that this has not produced thousands of comments on this forum. I'm confident that it is something that can fixed and that it is indeed fixed sooner rather than later. It is weird because every once in a while, the auto base running works. I appreciate all of your comments and here's hoping that it's fixed soon. Otherwise, this is a fantastic game!Comment

Re: Baserunning
I use manual base running but i might put it on auto for a few games to see if it happens.
I started a fresh franchise and a few of the rangers career stats were switched. Hamilton had rua's and rua had hamiltons career stats and elvis had odurs stats ect. . I restarted and everything was fine, not sure about players on other teams though.Comment

There must be something causing it for those who have experienced it, so we should find that cause so we can accurately report the issue to the devs.Impact de Montréal

Re: Baserunning
I messed with it tonight, looks like taking any manual leads or queueing a steal cancels auto-baserunning. If you don't lead off and don't steal, it seems to work fine. You can tell when auto-baserunning is on, because it say so in the running HUD. If the text is missing and the arrows pointing to the runners is present, you're on your own for the rest of the play.
Pretty ****ty implementation, they should leave it CPU controlled unless you use the L stick or L1/R1 buttons to override control. Personally, for me, with a runner on second I always take a 1 step lead, otherwise I get thrown out at home on singles, if the runner even goes. Now doing that screws up auto-baserunning. Hopefully they can address that in a patch.Comment

Regarding auto baserunning, it could be there are more guys like me who haven't played a game yet. I am editing all pitchers in roster before starting a season or franchise. I have noticed career stats are not accurate for many pitchers, don't know about batters cause I'm just doing pitchers.Comment

Re: Baserunning
Auto baserunning seems to be working fine as long as you don't touch any buttons related to runners. It seems that this year if you do anything manually (call for a steal, manually send runners to the next base, accidentally hitting a button) it deactivates auto running for the rest of that play. I found this out the hard way when I manually called for the runner to go on a 3-2 pitch with less than two outs and then hit a fly ball. The runner didn't return to the base like he would have in past years, so I got doubled up.
Normally, I'd use Auto baserunning but I'd control my lead off distances and steal attempts. In 16, however, doing so shuts off Auto baserunning for the remainder of that play.
Hope they fix this.Last edited by steelerfan; 04-01-2016, 01:59 PM. Reason: Full of mistakes, like a Cleveland Browns Draft Class.Comment

Re: Baserunning
Have you tried just queuing a steal to see if that turns off auto baserunning?Comment
