Same, I am going to roll with a all defense team filled with contact guys and see how it works out.

I usually dominate with Power but i think this year its going to be pitching and defense this year!

Yeah, I had an outfielder get hit in the eye by a fly ball. He's out for six days now. Fielding is most certainly important.

Yeah I had a bad day on defense today. Got bad jumps, routes, throws. You name it I did it and boy it showed.

I got a chuckle out of reading that. Hit in the eye, dude that just, wow.

I haven't seen Correa much but is he that bad in real baseball? If not, then maybe editing him would help.

He is an avg defender. Arm Strength is low and if he makes a throw off balance .....good luck! lol

Ah, so he should be edited then. I think they often do that, underrate arm strength for young players.

What do you think his arm strength and accuracy should be in the game?

Adrelton Simmons and Kevin Kiermier are going to be 2 must haves after people realize that defense is valuable this year.
The question in my mind is does defense matter for CPU players? If what was said in this thread about Correa's difficulty throwing out a baserunner with speed in the 70's, what will that mean to CPU shortstops? I've looked at Correa's arm strength and accuracy and looked at other shortstop arm ratings, and not many that much better than Correa. Sooo, I am interested to know how this "defense matters" relates to CPU fielders, or is it the same as MLBTS 15?

I'm seeing great plays being made in the field by both myself and the cpu.

Played a ST game last night vs the Mets and David Wright made a diving stop in the hole going to his left, got up quickly and fired out the runner at 2nd and then the 2B turned the double play. Even though it happened to me, I loved it.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                        two things i noticed:

+Cespedes botches a routine fly ball in the install demo.
+ in 1 and 1/2 games at third Headley fumbled a routine grounder and had bad range at a easily playable grounder which got past him into left.

                        so far so good.

Are we talking about Carlos Correa? If so he's at least above average and scouts have said for a few years that defensively he was ready for the MLB. His hitting has caught up now and that's why they brought him up, but overall he's a good defender. He's still young and makes mistakes but the arm strength is there.

Posted this in the media thread, but yeah...it definitely matters. This is from a CPU vs CPU game I watched last night.

That's nice, but I'm more interested in CPU vs User and how defense matters for both. Like I said earlier, if Correa is having trouble throwing out baserunners with speed in the 70's, how are the other shortstops in the game doing? I've looked and not many with better arm ratings than Correa.

I've tried out a ton of SS and the only SS that has been consistent with throws is Simmons and Tulo.

Reyes has made some nice throws but has also chucked some balls in the dugout
