If they are using the entire disc then they need better compression or are being handicapped by PS3 (which they should've cycled out this season).
Netcode has nothing to do with anything your talking about netcode is the code used in making online connections. As in NETworking code for the internet.

Also PS3 and PS4 discs are the identical Blu-ray disc 50gb of storage. So the PS3 version is not hampering the space available to them.

Sorry Mill, statements were too misinformed to let ride. *zips mouth*

Those who know me know I'm very outspoken when it comes to certain topics and rules here, but I can say that after many years at this forum and being banned more than once, the only thing that continues to bother me about the rules here is that they don't really apply to certain users. If you're going to enforce rules, you need to enforce them to everyone.

I agree they need to be enforced evenly. That being said the mods have discretion in terms of enforcing the rules, and I encourage them to use it when possible.

Permanent bans are a serious consequence, and if we can salvage some of the smaller stuff but reasoning and conversation, I allow it.

Of course - not everyone is allowed multiple chances back in the forum as well, so the lack of a single blanket in terms of moderation can help bring once troublesome users back to be productive and constructive pillars, wouldn't you say?

            Oh I agree. :P
Again though, I still feel the rules need to be applied and enforced evenly. Just because someone contributes more than someone else or because someone is a popular user doesn't put them above the rules. And unfortunately I have seen multiple instances where this is exactly what has happened. I agree that troublesome users need to be expelled for the betterment of the community, but there are still a handful of users that I can name that have broken the rules on many occasions without so much as a slap on the wrist just because they were contributors. You either apply the rules evenly or you don't apply them at all.

Of course there is the issue of what each moderator considers an infraction. The issue lies in that some moderators have thicker skin than others while some new moderators may be hesitant to moderate someone who's been here longer than they have. Again, it's a slippery slope.

It isn't because of someone's contributions. It's normally due to the nature of the issue.

And believe me when I say this - NONE of the mods, new or old, are apprehensive about banning anyone. They're essentially given the carte blanche with my hammer, and they know that.

I don't really feel any unevenness with how bans are handed out. I find bannable posts to be pretty predictable when I see them (spam, trolling, going after a mod in broad daylight, foul language, attacking a dev/company, making a personal attack on a poster rather than taking issue with the content of a post). Even with the "zero tolerance" policy, I've seen a lot of moderator discretion and have not really seen a heavy hammer coming down from on high. Then again, I have yet to be banned so that may skew my perspective some. Sorry if this comes off as shilling for OS, but they're not paying me, so....

It's also important to know that not all moderating involves a card, public conflict, etc. Just because it's not seen by everyone doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
