Good question. I haven't noticed low offense in the numerous (numerous!) test sims I've done.

MLB has been trending toward lower offense for a while now. IMO, Sportscenter has produced a generation of highlight reel seekers who pitchers can take advantage of. The spike in Ks is just one example supporting this.

Yeah my "fresh" MLB16 franchise doesn't seem to have an offense problem. Trout hit like 50 HR I think in my first season in that franchise.

I don't see a lot of CGs/SHOs - it's high but nothing horrid. 10 manager hook actually had guys being pulled in 4 or 5 innings after 2 runs in sim games.

In my carryover - I see many more...mostly because a "bad" ERA in that league is like 3.40 LOL. There were 10 teams under 3 ERA as a team. I guess I was hoping that lower stamina might would raise offense a bit (via tired pitchers more often).

Maybe my carryover is just ahead of its time. It is in 2023, so...maybe if the lower offense trend carries out 7 more years irl...

That could be in. I believe I remember folks talking about pitching progression being way ahead of hitters.

If only we could customize ala OOTP.

That was definitely true in MLB14 and 15 (this franchise started in MLB14).

Yeah - that's what I want, not us having to hope and make two kinds of sliders...

Until then, even working around this one thing would just leave so many more issues I still couldn't the stats seriously.

Until then, even working around this one thing would just leave so many more issues I still couldn't the stats seriously.

A weird analogy, but maybe it's time to take the franchise save out to pasture...

Maybe - but I "know" all the kids and stuff on my team (and others) and am a bit attached to them. Some came from no where, one who literally overcame bad ability/odds to make it as a rookie at 33, Buxton made it and is one of the five best hitters in the game after the Twins gave up on him and he got a second chance and skyrocketed after, etc.

After all, 10th season, lots of storylines - would hate to throw it away.

Plus, there's no sure thing it won't happen in my MLB16 one. I know I've drafted one kid SP who's 19 and already strong, and I doubt he's the only one.
