Would really like to see real life game footage when the game starts like older games use to have, really got you excited to play those games then seeing all the moments of the year before play as games loading.

Yeah - I still think MLB13's opening is one of the best in recent years.

There are no facial expressions and the eyes look horrible as everyone I've asked agrees that MLB 16 players had demonic eyes.

Yeah. When I pitch my ace, he's dark skinned which makes his eyes look even more freaky. Maybe hitters are too creeped out to stand in there.

(b) I would like to see the graphs removed and the extra stuff to make the faces put to rest and just give us pages and pages of players to pick from kinda like NHL or MADDEN does. I spend hours and hours trying to get a players face right and if I just had to pick from a face form any of those pages would make the process be so much faster. I spend more time editing players than playing the game and would like a easier way to get the players face done and move on.

I would hate that. The best part about The Show's player creation is the ability to make whatever faces you want. If they added some pre-made faces, that would be fine.

But NHL's faces are terrible, and trying to get something that looks close to yourself in game is difficult, at best.

A couple more things I would like to see.

Energy bars in the line up and rotation screens in the main menus instead of just before a game.

Weather effects to play a factor in games.

The ability for the catcher to come out and talk to the pitcher to calm him down instead of the pitching coach. Even if it only counts for little credit to confidence.

Yes, this would be extremely helpful. Especially when calling a guy up, only to find they he has no energy to play in the game you just called him up for.

An actual Timing mode, that shows actual PCI placement. This was something we had a few years ago. Ejections, I have not seen one single ejection this year.....we had those back in the day as well. Defensive sense of urgency. Ball flight-physics could use a makeover too. Maybe a pitch count slider to try and get the simmed games back in line with the actual games played in franchise mode. Outfield fences.....get the right dimensions on them, MLB, minors and classic stadiums have corner dimensions in center field and vice versa.

Create/ upgrade a stadium

Edit Draft Classes/ Prospects before draft

Add/ update championship banners... (I am tired of playing in the year 2025, and the Royals still have their World Series stuff plastered all over the Stadium)

Or if Detroit wins a World Series, they still only fly their 4 previous WS flags.

Retire Jersey Numbers

Create a jersey

More realistic hall of fame- Players wait a few years after retirement to be voted into the hall of fame. We the user could have a vote on who makes it in.
Also try to incorporate recent retirees in the game like Jeter, Ortiz, A-Rod, or Pete Rose so we vote them in, or even pull extremely recent retirees so we can pull them out of retirement.

can see the opponent's bench players in the "Batting Order" window like in the past. the function disappears this year.

Ejections, I have not seen one single ejection this year.....we had those back in the day as well.

Yep. I haven't seen an ejection since MLB13 when my pitcher got ejected hitting a batter after the batter charged the mound (why wasn't the batter ejected?)

Would like to see Madden's Sim A Win Feature where you can simulate every game of the season and have it play out the way you want. If you want to recreate the Indians/Cubs World Series, simulate the wins to match the 2016 season, playoffs, etc.

Also take from NBA 2K17 and include Start Today and be able to start in the current MLB season.

I would like to see accurate real time standings during the game. The CPU games are currently been played as it scrolls on the bottom of the screen, but the pop-up standings on the screen as accounting for the outcome.

Online franchise being the same as offline. OR at least some love for it.

These are all great suggestions. I was a yearly buyer until 16 which I skipped because I felt the game had grown stale. I'm an avid RTTS player and that needs improvement as well.

Also, as previously mentioned, the presentation is in dire need of an upgrade.

FRANCHISE:
- As others have stated, rainouts, double headers, dynamic weather, etc.
- Ballpark creation/upgrades (think PS2 Madden franchises for upgrades)
- Jersey/logo creation, as well as all uniform variants (4th of July, etc.)
- Spring Training improvements!!! Mini-games to improve player skills, similar to RTTS, but make them more fun and nostalgic. HR derby to improve power, Pepper for contact, Pickle/Hotbox for baserunning, the ability to teach a pitcher a new pitch, etc. Make this about more than simming a month of games!
- EQUAL PLAYER BUDGET OPTION! It drives my friends and I crazy when we try to play a multi-team franchise and we can't all be on equal financial grounds. Fantasy drafts simply take your final budget and add $10 mil in breathing room, which promotes drafting super expensive old guys rather than prospects.
- The option for a "simple" mode. With 4-6 people in one franchise, it takes foreeeeevvvvveeeerrrrr to get lineups, rotations, minor league rosters, and player signings done. Hate to keep making this comparison, but see Madden PS2 franchises. You offer a contract, and they accept or decline immediately.
- The ability to "copy/paste" a lineup to another iteration. For example, If I want my lineup to be the same for RHP NO DH and LHP NO DH, give me a button to copy/paste it over instead of individually making all the changes everytime something happens. Drives me crazy.

ONLINE
- Something similar to NHL's (older version of) EASHL. 9v9 club team RTTS, essentially. This would be the best.
