Well, Cleveland, all I know is I started a game with a rookie and no hit you for 6 innings, then suddenly the bull pen logic took me down. My seventh inning guy went into the 8th and suddenly a team that couldn't hit was getting hit after hit, then scoring on passed balls. All in the eighth inning. Something is seriously messed up with the coding after the seventh. How can a team look so inept and then suddenly drop a 4 spot on me when the game is on the line. The game just doesn't want the user to win.

Re: Watching MLB; If "This" Would Have Happened In The Show Thread

So I'm in first place and playing a team who starts a rookie for his first professional start and he manages to no hit me for six innings. I finally manage to scrape together hits off relief pitchers (thank you quick yank and poor bull pen management logic), so I have a 4 run lead going into the bottom of the 8th. My starter is dominating the opposition, giving up only one hit. Then suddenly he can't find the plate, and they rack three runs off me...mind you I brought in my closer and he was getting hit. So I am heading into the bottom of the ninth and they drop back to back doubles on my closer to tie the game. Mind you one was hit by a guy batting 0.182! They stupidly put Stanton up so I can walk him and face a kid who has only played 15 major league games. I got this right? Wrong. He hits the ball to the deepest part of the park and beats me. Another freakin' rookie! The ratings on these guys are way over powered!

Edit: side note - it is nice to see Castro's lack of situational awareness actually help the Cubs win for once. He probably cost them a dozen wins or so in his time with the Cubs on plays like this. I remember one game against the Reds back in 2014 in the 9th inning where he tagged up and tried to score the tying run from 3rd on a super shallow fly to right field. Jay Bruce casually threw him out by 30 feet. His apology then sounded very similar to his apology last night... "That's on me, I have to be smarter in that situation" or whatever...

Starting Pitcher stamina in this game is either broken or doesn't matter. I just threw a no-hitter with James Paxton, and his fastball speed was higher in the 9th after throwing over 90 pitches than it was even in the 1st inning. SDS needs to patch this, absolutely should not be throwing harder at the end of a game than at the beginning.

Reminded me of this..... I've never been more relieved when Atlanta was rid of B.J. Upton.

SDS never fails to disappoint with the little things. Yesterday I caught the Mets batting out of order and even the umps got it right, giving me an easy out.

had a delay in a rangers-padres minor league game, but instead of rain, the Show went all out and did a snake delay. it would have been a little more spot on if it had been a diamondback game though.

That's it... I'm changing my settings back to "perfect" umpire settings. They are currently on personalized and I advance on a past ball and was CLEARLY safe on play at home and was called out. On the very NEXT play I was called out at 3rd on a similar play when I advanced when I was CLEARLY safe. I think the game was clearly trying to prevent me from winning this game against the Cubs.

All joking aside.... I have major sour grapes over this one this morning. Billion dollar industry and this kinda crap goes on. Has been a major topic concerning replay all over baseball this morning. I screamed at the TV and scared the dog while watching this live last night. He jumped up and ran across the room and cowered on the loveseat. That led to a scolding from the wife.

You would have to understand the dynamic at my house.... It was I that received the scolding.

On a bright note... the wife is completely in tune with the fact that she married a sports fanatic and a gamer and marriage never disrupted either much. When I did midnight drops she would stand in line with me. College Football Saturday's and NFL Sunday's are an event at our house.
