have always hit the pitcher once or twice a game minimum. equally, when pitching in RttS, i usually get hit once a game.

I've noticed in the bat control mode of batting practice, for pitches down the middle if I leave the pci centered then I hit the pitcher on most hits. If I just move the pci to the left or right of center (even just a little bit) it does better to miss the pitcher all together. I'm not sure if that's what your doing or not, but if you are leaving your pci centered on pitches down the middle then move it to one side.

This is a very good point, thank you. I am playing with the PCI centered, maybe this will make a difference.

And to counter my own point, I just played five Conquest games where I didn't hit the pitcher once. Maybe it was just a bad streak of luck...

Picked up my franchise on 2015 and I'm hitting the pitcher a lot. Good tip on the pci, I'm going to try to offset it and see if it helps.

This has to be something that just difficult to solve from a developmental standpoint. And to be honest, I'd be fine with the ball simply clipping through a pitcher from time to time. Given, you want the pitcher to get hit with the ball every so often, but I agree it still happens too much. I'd take the ball clipping through the pitcher's arm or leg over hitting him every game.

I have seen 3 balls hit guys in 7 games. The interesting thing is all 3 were balls I hit. I have yet to have had the CPU hit me. In the past I would see like 3 a game lol. Last year I thought was better then any before 14 but still way to much. Now this year I need to play more before I can really say.

I got nailed in the leg last night, but I got the cpu right in the forehead a couple days ago. He went down to the ground but was not taken out!

so? Cueto took a line drive off the forehead in ST and stayed in the game....

I nailed a pitcher on the knee and he had to leave the game after it swelled to twice it's size.

While i still hit the pitcher it's not as often and i find that the pitcher doesn't recover as quickly so doesn't make the out himself like what happened in past versions.that's been my observations so far.

I can count on one hand and not use all my fingers the number of times I've seen the pitcher get hit in about 40 games.

I have seen pitchers get hit. Not at the crazy rate that it happened last year but I've seen it happen.

Also saw 1 time where the pitcher got hit and went down like a sack of potatoes.

I agree, not seeing it nearly as much as before and as everyone has said, you can usually leg it out when it happens in 16.

I see it fairly frequently. In my case it's probably due to my hit timing not being great as I'm new to the series. It doesn't bother me but what does is that the pitcher hasn't once yet been injured or taken out of the game, even if it cracks him in the noggin'.

I hit the pitcher 3 times in one 3-inning conquest game last night. At least it's not practically an automatic out anymore. Beat 2 of them out for a single.

Maybe it's more prevalent in Conquest for whatever reason? That's all I'm currently playing, it just happened again in the one game I played this morning.

Slider settings may play a role in this, and explains why some experience this often while others don't. On CPU vs. CPU I have Solid Hits turned up and seeing a lot of hit pitchers. So far no injuries, but perhaps it's a good thing, considering how often this happens.
