Looking for NL team suggestions for Franchise

Hey all, I'm looking for suggestions for a NL team to play in franchise mode. I'm a Red Sox fan and I feel like I miss out on a lot every season by never playing with any other teams.

What I'm going to do is play a 2 team franchise this year I think. I play fast counts and will play the Red Sox games, and then I want to pick one NL team to play with (I'll likely only play their At Bats and let the CPU pitch for them so I can still move through the schedule).

What NL teams are you guys having fun using this year? I'm kind of leaning towards a team with some speedy guys to try playing some small ball since I'm so used to playing the AL style.

The Marlins aren't a bad choice. They have Dee Gordon and Yelich. With Stanton and Jose Fetnandez for an ace.

The reds have some speed with Billy Hamilton.

If you want a future team than use the OSFM rosters when they're out and use the braves. In 2 years they'll be loaded with young guys.

Yeah I'm thinking probably Miami for the speed. Not too worried about the future as Boston will be my primary team. I'm going to roll with a roster that I found and made some tweaks to, if I wait for the OSFM I'll lose interest in the game like I do every year unfortunately lol

Sounds good. I've used the Marlins and it's great. All 3 OFs have good fielding but Yelich is amazing in the field. Dee Gordon is lightning fast. Be patient with Stanton and crush the 2-0 fastballs. And when you want pitch with Fernandez. He's so dominant.

I'm partial to the Mets. Best starting rotation in baseball.

I'm a sox fan and I do a seperate NL team franchise every year. And since it's so easy to win with Boston, I always go for a small market rebuild usually. This year I am going with Milwaukee. They aren't good. They have some ok young talent, an ok farm system and a really good catcher who wants to be traded IRL, so there is a another piece to trade to acquire young talent. So that's what i will be doing.

Interesting idea there too. I find it hard to trade when I'm playing as Boston because I'm a homer... haha I'll check out the Brewers roster.

The Giants are a fun team to play with, and you'll get to play at AT&T park a lot which is a Beauty to see!

I would say Colorado, Miami or Pittsburgh all have some speed, pop and good defense and potential with pitching.

Padres all the way. They occupy that gray zone between totally bad and playoff contender. not a shock to see the team get the wild card in game but they can also fail pretty bad and you'd need to rebuild them

I'm a fan of the DBacks. They have a solid core of players and pitchers that can help keep you in contention for the playoffs. There are some holes to fill and/or spots to try and get an upgrade to round out a decent team.

Some possible moves that can be made are to shore up the back end of the rotation, find a reliever for the middle innings, find a catcher to either upgrade your replacement or be your everyday catcher with Castillo filling the backup role, and/or pick up a 3B/LF/RF to help platoon those positions.

If you do care about depth in the minors, they do have some decent prospects who filled in well last season when the injury bug hit hard.

The coolest NL teams for my money are the Cubs, Reds, Dodgers and Mets.

Chicago would be a decent pick if you are only batting.

Or... or... you could scrap the two team two league idea and just concentrate on getting the Yankees #28.
