Do you start a game even though you know you can't finish it

Do ingame saves only work in franchise mode or also in exhibition or postseason?

I've been asking for the possibility to save exhibition games for years but I gave up. Sometimes you just want to play a random exhibition game and it ends up being a thriller but you have to go... The suspension mode kinda put this request lower on my list but I would still welcome it because I'm not gonna let my ps4 in standby for days.

My PS4 is either on or in rest mode. It doesnt hurt anything.

I have the auto save on and play 1 game a day - sometimes 2 innings at a time or whatever.

Only time I "save" is at the end so I have two files IN CASE I hit SIM SEASON by accident (which has happened).

I love how I can just walk away and come back 6 hour later and pick up exactly where I was without manually saving.

AS others have said, Rest Mode is a huge, huge awesome feature. I'm a stay @ home dad to a 4-year old and 2-year old, and never know how much time I'm going to really have for gaming. Before the feature came out, there were so many times I'd have to turn the system off part of the way through a game and start over. When my oldest daughter was a baby, I probably tried playing the same game of Madden four times on occasion. Now, I just put the system into pause and then pick up later from the same spot. Its the biggest deal for sports games, but I use it for all of my other games too.

I'm rarely away from my home overnight, but if I do travel thats the only time that I actually turn my PS4 off. I actually unplug the whole surge protector in those times.
