Chris Carter LOL Anyone else have him?

I tell ya, I'm not sure what to do with that guy. 60% of the time it's a K, a BB or a HR and he only hits 200. Not really an RBI guy and not a run scorer. I'm sort of stuck with him but I just don't know where he fits in my lineup!

Does not hit into DPs though!

What are other people doing with him.

I had him in my Boston fantasy roster last year. I put him #6 and held up + power swing all the time with him. At #6, his bad points do less damage and him pulling stuff towards the Monster, it worked decently.

And if he takes a walk - great.

Could also move him to #7 or #8. See if the pitcher falls asleep on him and you get something you can crush.

I'm an A's fan and this brings back all the memories of the high hopes I had for Chris coming up in the system. Although much of my hopes have been dashed when it comes to the team developing hitters for several years now.

You could go for the "dual lineup" strategy and have him anchor the bottom half of your order. He sounds ideal for that.

Either that or if you're doing DD have him as your go to pinch hitter.

The issue with Chris Carter is on this game and last couple of years his batters eye is very small, if u turn in ZONE you will see what im talking about. He is a good HR hitter at times for me anyways when he was a astro, but its hard to hit many HRS with him because of the small batters eye.

Chris Davis to a smaller extent as well. I've always had some difficulty hitting with him compared to other sluggers, especially in home run derbies. CPU can't hit with him either. I've actually considered editing Davis a bit.

Been playing with the Brewers for command innings and he has 6 HRs in 10 games. Just mashing it. But, like you said, he strikes out and walks just as often with very little in between.

Just played the last two games of my Cubs franchise at the Brewers, and I struck him out all four times to the plate in game one, and 3/4 in game two. He swings at almost anything. Its cool that they can come close to real life with players that way.

I Love pitching against him. He chases like no other batter I face. It's like 90% of time a K.

Yeah, I'm batting like .260 with him despite an 80-something contact rating. His PVis really can give him fits sometimes. Just swings through stuff on occasion and little margin for error with checks too (thanks low DISC).

Ive been doing nothing but playing play now games with the Brewers since release and he easily leads me in HR's. I play on Legend with zone and he has hit 4 or 5 420+ ft homeruns for me. I almost hit Bernie's slide on one of them. I project he'll hit 35-40 for me this yr on Legend and that is insane. He is literally a 2B, HR, or K waiting to happen.

Nice - maybe he's one of those guys better on Zone than Directional.

That's some serious production, especially on Legend.

Do yourself a favor & save yourself headache & heartache: trade him pronto for whatever you can get for him. I know the default roster has his price tag at 550k but if you have him at his real cost (2.5 mil.), you know that ain't what you pay for a guy that WAR tells you at his best, he's still only sub level
