Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
I know he said Cubs/Cards but I think that was a typo (or might have been the first game last year). The first game this year was Pirates/Cardinals.Comment

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
I thought he may have been referring to the 2015 season. Either way, I'm grateful to have not had it pop up, ever, as far as I can recall. Several times so far this season I've had the game correctly point out that a player is at or around 100 career HRs.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
What do you guy's think? In the next regular patch will they fix the stat overlays? I have noted a few times on here that I really hope they show updated stats trough out the game instead of just the first at bat. Do we think this will get fixed or changed? Man I really hope so. I also hope they show more rankings during the game I rarely see the top 10 rankings anymore.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
I doubt it. This isn't a bug, but a design decision that is turning out to be pretty unpopular. They'll likely change it for '17 (Brian_SCEA got an earful of this in his feedback thread...pretty unanimously in favor of always showing stat overlays), but they mentioned purposely not showing stats for every AB out of variety and to speed the games along. I believe they talked about it a bit in a Twitch stream at some point.
And how exactly does it speed the game up when they are showing a OSD of the current game's ab results anyway.
Also why have a OSD template with AVG/HR/RBI that doesn't show any of those stats or need to show those stats during a 1st AB since they are being shown on the main part of the OSD, it just looks wrong/tacky/out of place.
In one of the streams they talked about how they now have access to all the information that is stored in the frontend menus to use during games to give us more stats and information about what is going on in and around the league in our franchise. What is the point of this if all they want to do is remove stat presentations ect. and for all of us to play with fast mode presentation. Was really excited about this when i heard it in the stream, guess it was just all talk.
I hated how in 15 they changed it so not every batter got a stat OSD during a walk up and now it seems another pointless change to something that was working fine. Guess they they got a lot of data feedback about people not reading them.
Just to be clear this isn't aimed at you WaitTilNextYear
Edit: From the presentation stream

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
Last year you had to start the Cubs/Cardinals game as if you were going to play it. Sim to end and go on with your season. This year I assume it's the same. Start the first game of the 2016 season and sim to the end.
If you have already started your franchise and seeing this glitch you will have to restart your franchise unfortunately. Or deal with that throughout your franchise.Comment

No, you'll have to restart your franchise and it's gotta be the first game of the 2016 season.

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
This is probably the only thing this design team does that irritates me. Instead of just adding things and keeping things that we liked they take out random things we liked and not adding anything(in the presentation part anyways) like I miss the custscenes in I believe 12 or 13 where they showed the bullpen when relievers were warming up. I mean why did they ever take that out! I loved it! It felt so realistic! Oh well. Maybe they will reconsider and put it the season stats on the overlays back in. Here's hoping.Comment

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
This is my first year playing the game. What kind of overlays can I expect? What have people seen so far? Are there top ten team or player leader overlays? I'm ten games into franchise and I have seen pitch count and standings overlays and that's basically it.Comment

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
I hope they change the stat lines to how it was in previous years. I'd much prefer to see the updated season stats, thank just see the single game 1 for 3 etc.
I also would really like to see the player stats to be viewable from the player cards, like they were last year. It was so much more intuitive to be able to press triangle on a player in your lineup or inventory and see how they have performed for you. It was a clean screen, unlike the current method where the stats are all together in one spot. It's a pain to look at pitching stats because you have to scroll past all the batting stats which come first. Please put the stats back on the player cards!Comment

Re: Does anyone think the stat overlays will be fixed?
Maybe I am misreading the topic, but I always get a stat overlay at the walkup or if the first pitch is not put into play then it shows between pitch 1 and pitch 2.
As for the HR bug, I remember that from last year, but I didn't encounter it this year despite not playing the first game of the season.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
