Did you set up two profiles in the "User Settings>Mode Specific Options"? This is where to create 2 profiles, for you to use Cleveland with manual settings and the other profile you save is to set up the 29 other teams with the degree of automation you want. Name them two different names, then go to "Set Team Associations" and assign your one profile to Cleveland and the other (one by one) to the other teams. Hit apply when exiting. DON'T worry about the radio buttons on the various game screens. For example I currently set the lineups for the Yankees but have all the other teams automatically set lineups/rotations/injuries. But when I go to each other team, the game shows me the lineups, rotations are manual and injury automation is off. THAT doesn't matter. What matters is the profiles and the settings within and assignment to the teams.

So with this set up, will I still get alerts for any time any player gets hurt for all teams? Thats my big issue. WhenI tried 30 team it took me 4 or 5 minutes just to advance a day having to continually tell it how to handle the injury...

I'm still on 17, so not sure how they are alerting the 'GMs' now. But when i hit the pad and went to the email, I would go through team by team to see who was injured and who was called up. HOWEVER: since I only have one team set to handle injuries manually, the other 29 teams all handle the 'keep active, put on 10 day DL", etc. If I sim a day or two and one of my guys is hurt, I get the pop up alert about the injury. If a guy from another team gets hurt I do not. I do learn about it in the email system though if I choose to review this. LIkewise, if you have the 29 other teams auto handle the lineup, they will fill the holes left vacant from a guy who is hurt. If you set to manual, you will have to either auto-fix or manually fix the lineups. Hope that helps.

For me I like to play with Opening Day Rosters, then do the moves when they happen. Since I don't have a way to control injuries in real life, I just resort to restricting myself from using that player. Sometimes it's easier said than done.

I tried to follow the instructions given in the Operation Sports forum to set up a franchise of 30 teams. For some reason, I can not make my team (Tigres) have a profile and the other 29 teams have a different profile. I configured it that way and it shows 29 teams with custom1 and then the Tigers with a different profile under "File Association Configuration" but the 30 teams will have the profile custom1. If I change my team to the "tigers" profile and I say apply changes or use as default, the other change to the "tigers" profile. If I do not choose "use as default" or apply changes, then the profile will not be maintained after it leaves, simply switch back to the custom profile1. I can not understand what I'm doing wrong. Can someone guide me step by step from the initial installation of the franchise and the configuration of the profile? Thank you.

So walk me through what you did:
You started a franchise and selected/enabled control of all 30 teams (haven't started one in a while so don't remember the mechanics there).
You went into the configuration and took one of the experience levels, edited it for the CPUs to be custom1, then saved that configuration as 'custom1'
You then edited to make a tigers configuration, saving that as 'tigers'. So when you go through all the gameplay styles you'd see something like noob, beginner, experienced, custom1 and tigers (this was the RB1/LB1 buttons in MLB 17).
You then went to set team associations, used the right stick to set up 29 teams with custom 1 and the tigers with 'tigers', then as you exited you hit apply changes?

If you did all that I don't see why they wouldn't be sticking when you go back in to see what configuration is assigned to each team. Often times it was an issue where people were creating the configuration but weren't saving them, but it sounds like you are seeing both your new configurations show up when you go back to the set team associations screen, it is just that one or the other shows up for all the teams.

I'm at a loss because what you did should work if you followed those steps.

Does anyone know how to keep the game from making roster moves when you start it? I have the roster set up the way I want it in a saved roster and every time I enter a franchise mode there are a bunch of changes are made before I can even do anything.

I’m trying to set up a 30 team control in MLB The Show 20 and I click the tab to control all teams and when I progress further - it takes me to the Baltimore Orioles - which I do understand that that is the team as a starting point and not necessarily the one I will be controlling - but I don’t understand how to get GM contracts off - if I want to control one team throughout my franchise and just monitor the progress for the other 29 - it does not give me the option to do so - any help is appreciated

Any time there is more than one team being used, gm contracts are off automatically.

I’ve been finding that 30 team control is broken because the user settings tied to the CPU teams keep resetting in franchise. Yet another franchise bug.

I'm 45 games into a franchise using 30 team control and this has not happened to me with TS21 on PS5.
