Not understanding the issue - yes, it says manual under the computer controlled teams, but they are making trades, putting guys on the DL etc... I guess I am confused.

EDIT: Maybe I did the auto file in settings like the post above mentioned. I know all my CPU profile is set up auto and my profile is set to manual. When I cycle through teams, they all have manual listed (I think) for things like scouting, lineups, trades etc... but they computer is definitely making moves. Not sure if adjusting lineups, but trades have been made, guys to the DL and my team hasn't be touched.

I think that happens because your profile switches to the team you're currently on. Say you want to play as the Yankees, but switch over to the Orioles and look what profile that team is using it'll switch to your manual profile because it thinks you want to play as the Orioles now. But when you switch back to Yankees it'll go back to the CPU profile you made on the Orioles.

Biggest advantages to using 30 team control, is for keeping the CPU from doing something stupid and unrealistic, whether it be in trades, or in everyday lineups/ rotations.
It will never be perfect, because after all its a video game, and their are dumb trades IRL, too, but at times the CPU does do unrealistic things, so its best to use the 2 profile system and control all 30 teams, so you can stop anything to drastic that you know wouldnt happen IRL.

Main reason I use 30 team control, is I follow real life transactions and injuries in my franchise, and the only way you can do that is with 30 team control.

So many tend to hear 30 team control and think they will have to manage all 30 teams, when thats is not the case at all. You can play with 30 team control, and still only control 1 team.

Only thing that 30 team control dont allow you to do, is getting fired as GM if you dont reach the goals that the owner sets. If you want that option, then you'll have to live with some realy dumb lineups, rotations and roster moves that the CPU makes from time to time.

OK... So I started a franchise 30 team control but on the screen where you can press square for the 3 levels of auto management I think I pressed one of them to change an option.... Will this have messed up my franchise? Will I have to start again? Bit Confused here!

So I have a test franchise to experience while I wait for some rosters... 30 team control I started at Regular season (no sim spring training) skipped it

I get them notifications messages: saying "So n so do not have a valid pitching rotation" .. lineup ect

I just click auto fix. I don't want to micromanage 30 teams when a injury happens, especially when there's so much detail.

I use mike Lowe sliders; so these prompts come up everyday

All though how do you tell if they CPU teams are on Auto? Bcuz the UI when you toggle teams switches . Yes I read and followed directions

I am having issues too getting this set up correctly. Also, when at the start screen, Baltimore is the only team where I can select auto/manual (the 3 options). It doesn't allow me to cycle through all teams--even though I've given all teams a profile (AUTO for everyone, 'me' for NYY).

Once in spring training, it either says auto or manual for each of the boxes (i.e. 40 man, lineups, rotation, DL, etc.). If I change one--it changes them all.

Also on test sim--through 1.5 months, ONE total injury (using A&S sliders). Seemed odd.

3. I DON'T want to be notified each time another non user team doesn't have 4 valid lineups in AA.

4. **EDIT** also it seems my team is the only team getting injuries. As in, at all. There are ZERO for other teams..........

What am I doing wrong?

When you are in your franchise go to your users. Change to the user you use for the other teams you don't play. Go into user settings, not where you select what settings you want to control, but the actual user settings where you can change like the hitting and pitching difficulty. Go to the GENERAL tab and hit R2 to get to the advanced settings I think and turn the injuries on. On another note once you enter franchise don't worry about what the boxes on the main screen say and don't change them just ignore them. As long as you have the user with the settings you want assigned to that team it will work. Also don't worry about only being able to have Baltimore as the only team at the beginning that doesn't matter.

Embarrassingly, I realized that injuries were only ON for 'my' profile (SMH). I don't remember turning them off--but anyway, I discovered that last night. I think all my questions have been answered, now it's just a matter of which roster to use

Ok, this might be a stupid question but how do I set up 30 team control on MLB the show 17 where I can leave the team I want to use on manual and the rest on auto? is this possible?

Yes they will rest when needed automatically on manual.

I've been playing The Show for years and decided to try 30 team control for the first time. I've been searching the site for a solution.

Im still having the problem of "CPU" settings not saving. I have a profile named CPU that has everything set to auto and a profile named "User" that has everything set to manual.

I have set the team associations to the proper profile (Cubs on "User" and every other team on CPU) but every time I scroll through different teams it doesn't adopt the correct profile...

The system has always been messed up in The Show . I choose not to do any of those trades in my franchise but others do and its fun for them. I only make realistic trades and if I have a question about a trade I can go over to OS forums and and ask in the thread that is set up for it. So in my opinion some of these "flaws" make this game so deep that there are many ways to play it and enjoy it.

I've used 30 team control for years but for some reason it's not working right this year. I set my two profiles up for mostly auto for 29 teams, mostly manual for the Tigers. Set them all for franchise mode. When you go to the set team association screen in my franchise, 29 teams say Experienced4, the Tigers say experienced3. However I keep having the CPU do roster moves for me. So I double checked my mode-specific options. No issue there. I've tried setting the profile at the top of the screen (the screen with gameplay options, presentation options, etc.) to both experienced 3 and experienced 4. Doesnt' seem to make a difference. On the Team screen with the manage roster, lineup, rotation, training, morale, and DL options I've even moved the option from auto to manual. However when I do that, it moves that option for ALL the teams not just the Tigers.

I'm perplexed at this point what I'm doing wrong. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
