    Jay Bruce Check Swing HR

So opening day in the 3rd year of my Brewers franchise after i've rebuilt them into playoff contenders, and this happens to me with Chris Sale on the mound. The pitch was about half a foot inside on top of Jay Bruce hitting a check-swing HR. Pretty Ridiculous CPU cheese right here. Definitely a demoralizing and dissapointing way to start actually playing games. My apologies for the little time I put into the vid.

I've never seen anything like it out of this game.

And this is why I hate playing the Reds and pitching to jay Bruce. He always gets a Homerun on me.

Haven't seen anything that ridiculous, but have seen hitters launching no-doubters on balls way out of the strikezone, down and way.

My brother did this in our co-op franchise mode with the Cubs using Ben Zobrist. We were playing the first series against the Angels and he pulled one to right field on a check swing lol

I just hit a slider low and out of the zone with Joey Bats, but it was in Colorado so that's expected.

I love this game, but this seems a bit unacceptable when we're all preaching sim and realism.

This is like someone playing nba 2K and having a PASS from full court go in as a shot. We'd be infuriated.

Why does this game get a pass? It's an amazing title year in and year out but this should not be happening

Am I the only one that doesn't see this as impossible? Plenty of guys swing hard enough that they could hit a HR on a check swing like this if they 'accidentally' make contact. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Re: Jay Bruce Check Swing HR

I hit a HR similar to this last night.

Was playing an exhibition game. I had Lucas Duda at the plate. The pitch came in high and hard.

Now, I'm positive I double tapped X, which would be a check swing, but he absolutely crushed the ball, sending it about 5 rows from the top of the upper deck at Citi Field.

I checked the replay, cause I couldn't believe that he not only hit the ball, but hit it a ton. Plus, it just didn't feel right. Like, I hit the button twice, and saw the ball getting launched into the stands, but just didn't believe I hit it well enough to go out.

Sure enough, it was a partial swing, and not a checked swing. The bat head did go completely through the zone, but imeadiately after making contact, the bat sprung back over the plate, then it instantly spring over my shoulder and he went into the "no doubt" animation.

It was very weird, and didn't feel natural at all.

IRL Todd Frazier hit a home run by throwing the bat at the ball, so weird stuff happens.

I hit one of those with Chris Carter in my Brewers Franchise the other night. I swung at a ball outside the zone (4 seemer), and I pushed it down the line for a no doubt 3 run HR. It took me by surprise.
