Well it is GABP after all, and like was said Frazier hit a homerun off of Jamie Moyer without having any hands on the bat.

But... that Bruce HR was pure garbage, lol.

I don't have video, but, it has happened IRL. Go back and look at some of the ridiculous "swings" Cecil Fielder had back in the day....

Some times it isn't about the swing so much as the velocity of the pitch, the sweet spot of the bat, and back spin on the ball.

I don't mind seeing it in the game as long as it is rare.

looked like the bat went through the zone, he just didn't follow through. Doesn't look totally unbelievable to me but oh well.

No. It was just the first time I've ever hit a homerun that was out of the zone. Some may think of it as cheese, but he went with the pitch and it was beautiful.

I definitely wouldn't think of hitting a HR on a pitch that is out of the zone as cheese, happens in real life all time time. What irked me about this situation was the check-swing and the ball contact was low on the barrel of the bat, just completely unrealistic for a game that prides themselves on being and the majority of us assume is a great representation of a physics based sim.

You know, it looks like a check swing, but at first glance I thought he was just jammed inside, which would make this a more believable situation.

But I don't remember what the jammed swing looks like compared to a super inside check swing. Maybe the it's just the animation that is wrong? You would think that if it was a jam shot, he would have followed through all the way, which led me to see why this is more likely a check swing.
