Franchise Notebook
I can't be the only one who does this lol, does anyone else keep a notebook that they use to track certain things in franchise like potential trade prospects and high potential prospects in your system?

Re: Franchise Notebook
It might only be two of us....but not the only one!
I keep track of
1-Player of the Game for my team
2-Player of the Week for the league
3-Players that play particularly poorly for me regardless of rating.
4-League wide events(milestones or great performances)...the Radio Show helps with this a LOT!
Playoff teams
W.S. Winners
M.K.

Re: Franchise Notebook
Make it 3 of us!
I keep track of
playoff teams and WS winners
potential trade targets
my top performing minor leaguers each year so I'm not making decisions purely on ratings
equipment edits I need to make
salaries for my renewable & arb players
among other things. I've been doing this since my MicroLeague Baseball days.Comment

Re: Franchise Notebook
Make that 4 of us at least!
I just bought a new college bound 3 subject notebook to keep track of my franchise.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Franchise Notebook
Oh yeah, now with stats I don't have to but I write down every league leader, awards, and such. Sometimes players get bonuses and what not once they reach free agency.
I also put down my team as to how I want them to be in five years or so, maybe I have a few cornerstones and need to build it up.
So a lot of stuff Knight does!

I use an Excel speadsheet! I track the guys I want to draft, the guys I ended up drafting, potential prospects I'd like to trade, And then key team/player stats by month, so I can see progress/declineBeavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

Re: Franchise Notebook
In my online franchise I keep a notebook of simply our user records year to year (we're all in the same division), our H2H records against one another and the W.S. winner.
I also prep myself a little "draft sheet" come draft time.Chicago Bulls•Toronto Raptors•Carolina Panthers•Toronto Blue Jays•Toronto Maple LeafsComment

Re: Franchise Notebook
At Barnes and Noble they sell these black Journals that are the graph notebooks. I keep track of every game... Box score and player of the game. I also keep track of Homeruns, RBI, Runs Doubles, Triples on each of my players in the notebook. Then I make a note to myself like a highlight that stood out.Last edited by Surg2k; 04-19-2016, 11:34 AM.Comment

Re: Franchise Notebook
I keep a folder on my laptop for all of sports games (The Show, Madden and 2K. I'm not big on FIFA nor NHL). In those folders I keep notes on sliders, edits etc.
Regarding my Show franchises/RTTS though, I keep track of:
player of the game/week/month (the others I like to "reward" myself by going through my stats).
Minor league stat tracking for top prospects (since we can't see them year to year)
Targeted players
Scouting info
Futures/All-Star teams of every level (again, we can't see them year to year)
Also like to keep a little "scouting" book on rival teams, main competitors and playoff opponents
Trade log (I don't like how when a player is traded, his stats for the year go in as TOT. years down the road, I won't remember what teams those were so I log ALL trades in my Chise)
Annual standings
Annual playoffs (results/stats)Comment

Re: Franchise Notebook
Add me to the list. I still have every notebook from The Show 07 until now. As a matter of fact during my recent move I found some of my old notebooks and cards from my APBA and Stratomatic days.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Franchise Notebook
I'm Convinced! I'm all about getting immersed in my own franchise world. I used to think that I needed to share my franchise online with others with Dynasty Posts and things like that, but now I feel that I want to just play the games and it be my world and not feel obligated to post my stuff online.
Great Idea my friend!NCAAM: Wichita State Shockers
