Analog Pitching is wayyyy easier this year. I have to pitch at Legend just to get any semblance of a challenge. I might end up just abandoning it.

this I was finding this to be true, I stated yesterday in another tread that I found pitching to be easier. I started my franchise from rookie on dynamic difficulty 18 games later I was almost a legend with analog pitching until I fired the game up to play my 4 game series against the Dbags last night and they completely murdered me for the first 3 games, I will say that quite a few runs came from (bulls***) errors, that seemed to only happen during this series. but still, I got cocky thinking I'm going to smoke this game this year and then the CPU goes and puts me right back in my place. sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the cpu.

Once again, the topic was an OBSERVATION. Changing the difficulty would add a variable to the equation and therefore it would not longer be a COMPARISON. I was comparing HoF last year to HoF this year.

I would tend to agree with your observation but in a good way. I agree with what CB and others have said. I find hitting to be easier and can finally pull the ball again but it hasn't really translated to a better win loss record.

So I don't know that the game as a whole is easier but I do find the hitting aspect to be easier.

Pitching also seems a heck of a lot easier to me. Last year on HoF, I was struggling to get the CPU out. This year, I've already thrown two 1-hitters on HoF difficulty and another 3-hitter. These are all using default sliders. Obviously I'm going to tweak the sliders to give me a greater challenge, but it's definitely intriguing that the game seems so much easier this year.

I agree that pitching is "easier" because of precision input but again I don't believe the overall game itself is easier.

At least my win loss record doesn't indicate it.

Have you went back and tried 15' (why the hell would you do that, I know!)?

The reason I ask, maybe it's not that it has gotten easier, maybe you have just gotten better? If you play this game constantly, you're gonna be in stride when the new version comes out and it might appear easier.

I've gotten the game to play about the same as last year, but this year I'm having much more difficulty with meter pitching. It seems like the dial is moving too slow before the sweet spot and then to fast as it approaches and goes past. As a result I'm leaving too many pitches up in the zone, and then when I try and wait I end up throwing it into the ground.

I've tried other modes like Meter and Pulse and they seem a tad easy too... not the meter/pulse themselves... but the batter AI is a lot less challenging in general, it seems.

I had to lower sliders for hitting because I was hitting way too many HRs, so I guess in a way hitting is too easy too. Though I wasn't getting excessive hits overall (about 7-10 per game), almost all of my hits were leaving the park. No doubles or triples at all... This was on Hall of Fame with default sliders.

I also raised pitch speed higher than I've ever had to raise it. Last year I had it at 4, this year I have it at 7.

It's not just you.

What hitting and camera view are you using? I think hitting is WAY harder than the last one I played which was 2014. Directional just seems to not work. Everything is an out even with good timing. Seems like I have to be perfect on zone hitting.

Currently playing on HOF in an online league and I'm really struggling to hit. Timing is good, but nothing is resulting in a hit.

If this game is easier I must have gotten worse at Classic pitching - if that's possible.

Now 9-16 with my fantasy draft Rockies, pitching sucked (again).

Knebel trying to hold a lead:

-Wild pitch
-Almost hit batter
-2-run HR

Lost 8-7, gave up 12 hits. So easy to pitch.

I won't even talk about some of these games with Coors with this team. Easy is the last word I'd use to describe them.

Lol, i hit batters twice a game with meter pitching ( classic fade ), especially with inside sliders. My last game with Cubs, Cardinals hit 2 HR vs John Lackey. I really like him, but his curveball is terrible.
