    Re: Baserunning AI?

Ive seen that many AI baserunning moments of stupidity its forced me to take a break from the game at the moment - who knows i might not even come back to it this year.

'16 is still a very good game but i cant call it great anymore, far too many bugs and issues even after endless patches that just shouldnt be there.

    Sad.

Overall I'm seeing a lot of boneheaded baserunning, but those plays in particular were entirely absurd.

      Is anyone seeing wacky baserunning?
Yes it is an issue and time is running out for them to fix it. There is also an issue involving baserunners being thrown out trying to advance on a pitch in the dirt.

I use manage mode so everything is AI, no user input.

I've had this happen numerous times before the patch but not after. I thought it was fixed but apparently not

Some sort of refund is in order? Really?

Supposedly, they have the same AI. A dev responded to my question asking if there were actually two baserunning AIs and he said they were the same. Would make sense that they do because when under auto baserunning, the CPU is in control of the runners.

I don't understand how a game can be released with so many obvious glaring issues. It's not like one of those issues that is hard to replicate either, I discovered this ridiculous over aggressive cpu baserunning the first game I played. Makes you wonder if they even actually played the game or were to busy zooming in on the graphical upgrades they were implementing.

                Re: Baserunning AI?

Yesterday in a DD game the CPU hit a single to CF, there was a runner on 1st who tried to run to 3rd. My 3rd baseman had it long before the runner got there, but the AI runner didn't even slide... he just kept running straight to 3rd and was tagged out. It honestly looked like he would have kept running home if he wasn't tagged out. I don't know what the deal is.

Sheesh, boneheaded AI baserunner tried to score from second on a sac fly to center. Catcher had time for a coffee and a scone as he waited to make the tag.

I posted about this exact scenario in another thread and people looked at me like I was nuts. This issue is prevalent and has happened to me and my friend on numerous occasions. It's an easy out, but it's completely ridiculous.
