    Best value players in franchise

This year more so than ever I am relying on mid level guys and sleepers to bring my team to the next level. These are the guys who are typically under 80 overall but play like 90+ players. Here are a few of my favorite, please share yours as well.

    1. Corey Dickerson-incredible power and contact
    2. Colby Rasmus-home run machine
    3. Ben Paulson-sleeper of the year, very affordable
    4. Craig Gentry- crazy speed and very good contact against lefties
    5. Maikel Franco-could win an MVP award, plays and sims very well
    6. Nick Hundley-best hitting catcher outside of Posey. Sims well
    7. Randal Grichuk-one of the best up and coming OF

Some guys play well when user controlled, some play well while in sim mode. In my opinion all these guys play and sim well. None of them will cost you a lot either.

Greg "The Birdman" Bird - This kid is raking for me in my Fantasy Cardinals Franchise. I am thrilled I took him as a value power hitting lefty. Leads my team (a team with Bryce Harper mind you) in RBI's thru June 28th with 49 and second in HR's (16) to Harpers 17.

Jarrod Dyson is hitting .341 in 120 ABS with 60-some steals for me. I pretty much traded for him just to pinch run and the occasional start in LF, but he's hard to keep out of the lineup.

For me right now it would have to be Randal Grichuk. Currently hitting .300 and is 3rd on the team in homeruns and 2nd in RBI's. He is also playing great in CF and has to be leading the league with 5 robbed homeruns.

Another would be Miguel Socolovich. He was brought up to replace a struggling Seth Maness and has a below 1.00 ERA in 20 innings of work.

I needed some outfield depth in my Phillies franchise, so I picked up Dalton Pompey for a SP prospect in an offseason trade. Best move I ever made in my franchise.

It's the 2019 season and he's my everyday leadoff hitter (was consistently outplaying Obdubel Herrera, wasn't even close) at a 78 overall. He's currently batting .318 with 30+ steals through 102 user-played games. Great at defense as well.

Brock Holt immediately comes to mind. He can play nearly every position in the field and has good contact numbers to go along with above-average speed.

I know there are countless others, but Holt ranks near or at the top of the list for me.

Yeah, I was about to come here and post about Holt. I traded for him in my franchise and he is hitting .283 while starting at 2B after knocking Wong out of the position.

Dont know what it is but I love Marwin Gonzalez. Great utility played, can play any infield position well. Good batter despite raitings vs righties (I think its righties at least). Can lay down good bunts with decent speed nothing amazing but he can get on with a nice drag bunt.

Really like using him. I also like Jason Castro I can hit home runs no problem with him even with his low power ratings. I think he has more than Carlos Correa George Springer and Evan Gattis combined in my Astros franchise.

Good pitcher I like is Pat Neshek, he is in the mid 80's I think but he pitches like a star pitcher at least in year 1.

Michael Feliz is also good. Really only his fastball is dependable for me but very rarely can batters get a hit on that fastball.

Jorge Mateo is one I like. Good speed player, decent defense (good arm).

Joey Gallo in my franchise started below 80 but has skyrocketed for me. Not terribly consistent (unless his contact shoots up for you, too) but lots of power and okay defense.

Delino DeShields, Jr. - excellent defense and speed with a bat that should be consistent for decent average and doubles/triples.

Relievers Hansel Robles is pretty decent 70's-rated player. Probably not closer material, but high clutch might let him be a good setup option. Hector Neris...I haven't used him, but he looks like he's got solid ratings to be at least decent.

If you don't mind a low batting average - Mike Zunino might be a good option. Plays solid defensively behind the plate and might get enough power to be a "swing hard in case he hits it" type that's a little more stable against southpaws.

Hundley has proven to be as much importance to m team as CarGo.

I never really gave Paulsen a fair chance, I signed FA Morneau to be firstbase and Mark Reynolds gets whatever mopup duty there is. Paulsen is getting a little (very little) time in leftfield behind Parra.

I can definitely vouch for Marwin and Castro. Castro was huge in my Astros chise. I didn't like Springer because he was always in the top few in strikeouts. Horrible vision.

I'm prone to always end up with 3B Travis Shaw. His stats start out with Contact and Power, from both sides, above 60, and is young and will provide great offense to any team you're controlling. Doesn't cost much, and has an 86 Potential. Really great player.

I traded for Kole Calhoun in my franchise and he has been amazing in the year and a half I've had him. He sits in the 4/5/6 section of my order and has put up numbers around .280 with 25-30 HR's and 90 RBIs per year. He's a good fielder with a decent arm and a plus bat against both lefties and righties. And his quick stroke hits homers to any part of the park.
