    Bloopers

Anyone ever notice that there are no bloopers for hits in this game? Why is the computer infield making catches so far into the outfield? I think one major issue with this game (I love this game btw) is that the defenders speed is just way too fast. Outfielders catch every line drive down the line and infielders catch balls halfway into the outfield every. single. time.

I've seen bloopers. Jam shots that land just over the corner infielders head, flip of the bat where the ball hits the end that of the bat and falls over the corner infielders head, bloopers that fall over the 2nd base bag.

    They happen.

      Re: Bloopers

I see bloopers a lot, especially towards the wall. I also see them hitting bumps in the dirt causing errors. The one thing I would say is that other than once, I haven't seen a fly ball dropped much. Wonder if wind clan play a part in outfield bloopers?

Yes, they happen. I do agree they don't happen nearly as often as in real baseball.

I think you missed the concept of the thread. He is talking about bloopers in terms of hits not errors.

But to answer you question, yes I believe the wind plays a part in outfield bloopers.

I don't know as I've never really taken the time to count the number of times they happen in an actual game vs The Show, but for me at least, bloopers are not rare.

              Re: Bloopers

I have played roughly 150 games of franchise mode and I can't think of a single blooper over the 2nd basemen or shortstops head. They catch balls in the outfield. I have, however, seen jam shots go over the corner infielders heads.

                Re: Bloopers

I see them some, but I also slow the game down. I've got all fielder/throwing/baserunning speeds at 0. The game felt too fast, to me, at default.

I guess I should note that I play with everything at default. Just so there is no confusion or anything.

If you have a blooper fetish, go play the Yetis, that should take care of it. But if you insist on seeing them in franchise, try lowering INF and OF speed.

                      Re: Bloopers

I haven't touched a single slider, just because I didn't want to screw the game up. Is pulling down the IF/OF speed a relatively normal thing people are doing? I'm not 100% sure that's why there aren't bloopers over the 2B/SS heads. If it was something like those hits just aren't in the game, then that wouldn't solve it and I didn't want to break anything else. Not sure how it works.

bloop hits over the 2B/SS are definitely in the game as I've seen them.

I concur. I have seen plenty in this game.

I've seen them, but not as many as I'd like. Problem is that fielders seem to always read the ball off the bat perfectly. I'd like to see crappy fielders take piss poor routes and on hard swings (Power swings) take a step back before coming in. Only thing you ever see is slow reactions.

I'm 130 games into my season and just got my first two bloop singles this week. Jammed shots that fell in front of the OF.
