Re: Problem with Playoff Roster and Injuries

I've had this issue too, and it's really frustrating. If a player is eligible for reactivation any time close to when rosters expand or afterward, then the best answer is to activate the player and let him ride the bench until healthy.

I have, however, had a player come off the DL in the middle of the playoffs (more than once), and the game tells you you can add the player to your playoff roster, but you actually can't. So you're stuck, and are in a no-win situation.

They need to get this fixed!

Oh so The Show has the rules implemented incorrectly?

      Add it to the list.

Re: Problem with Playoff Roster and Injuries

I found a workaround for this issue. When your regular season ends, don't advance to the next day (postseason) right away. After your franchise has played it last regular season game, go to Gameplay Options>General>Advanced and set Injuries to Manual. Save the change. Go back to your roster and, press R1, and you will be able to un-injure any player on the DL. Guys that were injured for months will now be playoff-eligible. Make sure after you un-injure a player, that you place him on the MLB roster and adjust the 40-man roster so you are not exceeding it. A player activated from 60-day DL will add to the 40-man roster. After doing all of this, advance to the next day to your postseason. Go back to Gameplay Options and switch back to Injuries On, and enjoy your postseason starting with full rosters. I had the problem with the game not allowing me to replace a player injured in September with the player who replaced him. When the postseason started, this player (who played great down the stretch) was deemed ineligible for postseason play, leaving that team not only one man short, but without a guy who was key down the stretch. That's why I sought a workaround. I hope this helps. I apologize if this redundant information.

I had this happen to me with Javier Baez in my franchise. He came off the DL during the NLDS and was playoff eligible. After I won the NLDS I had the same issue that it wouldn't let me add him to my active roster through the normal/proper way of adding him and removing someone else.

I did however find a work around. I believe what I did was set injuries to manual, went to the DL screen and manually injured the player I wanted to remove from the roster, DL'd him and then I was able to add Baez. After that I put injuries back to auto and I was good to go.

I still have a save file from the end of my regular season so when I get a chance I will try it again to confirm but I'm 90% sure this is what I did.

I didn't have any injuries in my franchise at all from around the start of september til the end. Haven't played any playoff games so unsure if it's back to normal in the post season.

Even when there was a injury during the game the player would still be in the game the next pitch, unless it was a pitcher then i would have to replace him but he would be uninjured after the game finished.

Exact same thing just happened in my franchise. I'm playing all games and starting mid-september (or maybe earlier ), all other teams stopped having injuries.

I had a few injuries ( opponents as well) during games but those just healed magically after the game.

              Disappointing bug.

Re: Problem with Playoff Roster and Injuries

I hate to be the one to bring up an old thread but I just had to complain about this somewhere lol The roster management in September/playoffs is so frustrating. I'm in the last week of the season in my second year and David Wright has went down and let the game twice in the last 3 games. Afterwards, there is no mention at all of him being hurt and having to miss any time. It's like it never happened.

Although I'm lucky to be able to have him healthy going into the playoffs, it's just not even close to realistic. I haven't read up on 2017 much yet, but I really hope they addressed this.

Can confirm this has not been fixed in '17. Frustrating, to say the least.

I go to DL screen and hit r1 and nothing happens. I can't take players off the dl?

Is there time up on the DL?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

No. I have a guy with a broken arm just randomly that's out three months. I go to the dl screen and hit r1 to edit and nothing happens. I can't figure this out for the life of me

after you hit R1 , you have to select a player
                          Toronto Maple Leafs
                          Baltimore Ravens
                          Toronto Blue Jays

I hit r1. Go to player. Then it only lets me move him between 1-6. Or 15 day dl or 60 day. That's it

It is because you don't have your settings on manual. You just have that you control the dl on manual and not auto. Go into your settings like where you change hitting and pitching difficulty, go to the general tab, then hit R2 and go to the advanced tab then go down to injuries and change that to manual.
