It is. The answer is simple. It's their game. They will show when they are ready.. you looking for an answer to satisfy you? You're not going to get it. They've announced they'll be going over the improvements in the next stream or so. Russell even said he will be covering more details soon.

The game doesn't come out for another couple weeks. They're not "hiding" anything as you claim.

With profoundness and logic, such as this, I keep asking myself why do I even post or visit this place?

        Thanks anyway. Later.

Is there a reason you can't just hook up the PS4 to port one? I use port one for my PS4 and two for my cable box.

I could but then I would lose out on the uhd for the tv. Not a huge deal I guess. Thanks for the info though. Glad I'm not the only one with that tv.

This crap makes me really not even want to visit this site anymore. If these types of responses are acceptable and encouraged what's the point of even trying to have an insightful conversation on any topic? Just getting constantly trolled with any possible question or opinion, fun.

I already stated that it's too late now, I've opted out of purchasing the pro because of the lack of information. My question is why there is a lack of information. Then I'm met with attitude and put down like I'm an idiot for wondering or asking.

I didn't attack anyone or ask anything that wasn't logical to wonder that there were clear answers to. No reason to come off as smug. But that seems to be the thing to do around here. Whatever, have your cliques and troll. Soon there won't be anyone to talk to cause the new registered users will decline and the developers will stop coming here if this is how it is going to be.

If I get a 4k hdr tv but still have a regular ps4 which is hdr capable now, will I see significant improvement due to the hdr? Looking at a 4k tv, but don't want to spend an additional 400 on a pro if I don't need to

It is not what you asked, it was how you asked and your response when your question was answered. They have stated they will talk about your question in the next week or so. There is no grand conspiracy to hide information from you.

If you are not happy with that decision and want to keep on responding this way when information is given to you, then it might me time for you to move on. Because I see no problem with the responses you were given and the only one with attitude right now is you.

No. What we have all been trying to tell you is just because nothing has been talked about with the Pro yet doesn't mean there is a "lack of information." They have said it will be discussed and when it is there will be the information. What more is there to say about it until we get information on it? Everyone has to wait. We were told the answer to this question countless times.

You're not hearing what you want to hear so you get mad and blame the forums and developers for not releasing information now. Your responses to other users aren't exactly lacking smugness either. It comes off as being entitled.

People have no problem helping others on this forum. However, too many times users will answer a question and the answer isn't good enough thus the complaining questions about this or that continue. Ramone said 2-3 weeks ago that Pro would be discussed in a future stream before the game comes out yet people want to accuse them of hiding information when they aren't at all. It's just not time to talk about it yet. Simple as that.

This site isn't as bad as you make it out to be. There are a lot of good people on this site. People I am personally friends with. This post isn't an attack on you. I'm just trying to help you understand.

But last night I pulled the trigger - listed my launch PS4 on CraigsList for $200, already sold it this morning, and will be headed to Best Buy when they open to pick up a Pro.

Still only have a 1080p set, but I'm waiting for larger sized OLED 4Ks to come down to reality first.

Step one = complete. It was only a matter of time.

If you're like me, I mainly got the pro just hoping for FPS improvements. My 1080p looks good and horizon even has a boost in graphics on my 1080p so I'm sure I'll gain something with The Show as well.

I'm not sure what your looking or hoping for regarding responses from users on this site.

You're asking to give you answers and insight to something we know as much about as you do.

They set their reveal dates and have stuck to them. Why they chose dates for each one is beyond us and not something we would be able to answer.

So you asked us a question we can't answer and then got overly bitter when no one was able to answer and could only give you the date of the reveal.

There are times on this site where I've seen users go overboard in defending games and studios but if THIS is the example your using to get upset over I really don't know if we can help with that.

Maybe try PM'ing Ramone for the answer you seek, he's the only one on this site who would be able to answer your question.

EDIT: I should add, I agree that it's very strange to have not released any info by now, and I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

Its odd that they wouldn't release pro info sooner because after all they are Sony and you would think they would want to generate sales for their hardware.

One thing I have noticed in all video of MLB The Show 17 shown so far is that the the chalk Lines do not disappear over the course of a game at all.

So I started thinking is it possible Sony is removing little things like this to make the frame rate better on the standard PS4? And perhaps the PS4 Pro will still have the disappearing Chalk Lines because of the extra power needed? All I can say is if the PS4 Pro also does not show the disappearing Chalk Lines then that is really upsetting. I mean aren't new versions supposed to advance forward in technology and not go backwards?
