Compared to what, if I may ask (no sarcasm)? If you want a more arcade experience where the majority of teams end up w maybe 3 or 4 injuries throughout their entire organization all season long, then I guess?

Realism, however, is at 8. I tested it extensively in my slider thread. But to each their own.

After a couple weeks of the season I just thought there were too many injuries happening, and most of the were long term ones, nearly all teams had at least 4 people out injured and the most I saw was the Royals with 9
And seeing how most of your guys players had injuries aswell I thought I should bump it down to see how that went

Also in my franchise I've had the injury slider at default and there is still a realistic number of injuries that happen

Perception is reality. If you feel it works for you, do it.

For the others who may be following this thread, it's not accurate though to MLB (far from it), and even 9 is probably a bit low when compared to the actual injury lists of MLB and AAA and AA combined.

Maybe so but with the teams not able to add players to their 90 man roster to cover for those injuries, which they would do in real life, it could leave teams short in some positions

And I think 9 in 2 weeks is a bit excessive

Teams will sign free agents this year, and there's also the A level.

Show really needs to expand their minor league coverage.

Yeah but injuries still keeps the roster at 90 so they can't add a guy to cover for injuries. Like with the Royals they now only have 8 in their A level

What I've found is that the AI will actually help itself by cutting a terrible player to balance their depth.

Oh ok cool, that's better than previous versions of the Show. I may move it back up to 8 then but for now I'll run with it at 6 and see how that goes

Am I getting unlucky? Do you have to sink a ton of points in durability? Is this a slider issue? Sorry for all the questions but any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
Just passed the halfway point of my first season in pro ball. Despite missing time for 3 separate injuries I was still able to start at 3B for the North team in the Texas League All-Star game. In 40 games, I'm hitting 261/295/558 with 13 HR and 35 RBI. I'm comfortable with my ability to hit at the AA level so for the rest of the season or until I get promoted I'm going to focus on increasing my fielding and durability (Missing games for injuries sucks).

I dont see a promotion coming anytime soon. I'm blocked by top prospect Hunter Dozier at the AAA level and 23 year old Cheslor Cuthbert having a nice season with the big club. I have to think I'm getting traded at some point. Dozier is the higher prospect than me and LF is really the only other position I could play and Alex Gordon is there currently. In anyones experience, will my team be smart enough to make a move eventually or will I wallow in AA until I demand a trade? I would rather not do that as it's a bit unrealistic that a 22 year old 2nd round pick demands a trade. Usually when there's a logjam the organization trades one of the assets. Hope itll work that way in the game.

Yeah, give it some time. Could also try a position change, especially if you're still in the early stages of developing your defense.

Dozier fractured his leg, I got called up to AAA on July 18th. I'm no longer able to see my AA stats but I ended up around 285/309/612 with 22 HR and 54 RBI. Was absolutely crushing my last 3 weeks in AA, had 9 HR and 20 RBI in 16 games since the All-Star break. Let's see if theres a big jump in pitching from AA to AAA

I made a Starting Pitcher, to switch things up, and did pretty well-is, better than I thought, in my 2 Showcase games... 6.0, 4H, 2ER.

I was like ok...but the scout still said I did horrible, honestly seems about right.

Got drafted 6th round, Pick 5 to the Brewers. Went to Biloxi, saw some action in our 5th game of season (4-1), came in in the 9th, down 1...

                          0.2, 5H, 4ER.

OKAY! This is going to be a learning experience for sure, but I'm into it. 16 was a bit of a down year...spent too much time at real Progressive this year...but this adds some serious flavor right before 17. And hey, Y2Y, so this comes with me.

Is anyone around if I stream some today? Did anyone else get drafted in the first round? Interesting to see folks struggle with OB% from those who've shared stats. Gotta really be patient in those ABs. I try and keep my OB% about 100 points higher than my BA. Tough to do, but that's my goal.

My OBP has been bothering me. I feel like its because in AA at least once an at bat I'm gonna get a super hittable pitch. So I could take more walks but that would mean passing on pitches I can crush (see sky high slugging). My hope is that in AAA and the majors you get far fewer hittable pitches and have to take more walks. Right now I could walk but why when I can make solid contact.

I'm in on this! I would like to introduce everyone to Rocco Bridges, a LF/RF who is the newest addition to the Mariners minor league system. After a below-average performance at the pre-draft scrimmages, Rocco has come out of the gates hot in AA. Here is Rocco's stat line after just 4 AA games:
