Just talked about this in another thread I created. It was in reference to video I saw of Retro Mode, but same gameplay.

My beef was more the decision making of the OF, but it seems like the arm strength being too strong is the real problem.

Either way, game looks awesome and ball physics are better than I expected....looking really good.

Default throwing power is always too high haha. Just click the slider down a couple and you should be fine.

Most likely to late for Sony to tweak the outfielders arms at this point. But maybe they can really take a real hard look into this for 18!

But why can't Sony lower it by default?

I would rather not have to use sliders to fix development mistakes.

Hence the reason for sliders in games to tweak to your liking

Where's said proof of developmental mistakes?

Well saying it's developmental mistakes may have been the wrong words to use and I apologize.

I am just trying to say for a very long time here at OS so many including me have complained about the plays at second being bang bang and just way to close with even above average runners when balls are hit down the line and into the corners especially right field.

Do you guys not think this is even an issue?

We would just like this issue to be fixed.

The only things that has me a bit concern right now (I know WIP) is the drop balls on plays we saw just during this video. Especially on the throw out to second, since it has been reworked

The camera on batted balls looks so good, the flight of the ball is so smooth as well. Almost looks night and day.

The ball physics are "lit" as the kids say.

To add a couple things; If you watch this video in 1080p the graphics changes are amazing. So much more detail on the players.

                    Lighting looks great as well.

I honestly couldn't be more excited for this game.

                      Agreed.

Not to take anything away from the ball physics (they're game changing in their own right) - but it's also amazing what a difference a new camera can make. Last year it was the hitting cam, and now this year with the 'Retro Mode' fielding cam, really breaths so much new life into the game.

Is it just me do the outfields look larger than before or maybe the presentation is different ?

I was wondering if that was the retro mode fielding cam, but noticed it wasn't the retro batting cam. That's so awesome we can use the retro fielding cam without the batting cam.

Pretty sure that will be my go to fielding cam.

I think the plays at second base being too close is more due to the fielders sprinting to play the ball off the wall, wherein real life, a lot of corner outfielders will just concede the double and jog over to field the ball and throw it back into the infield.

Yes and no, I talked about it here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...tfielders.html

I think the OF is not displaying the same Humanity AI that the IF is. I think they "get to the ball" in the right amount of time, but they tend to fire the ball at the base the runner is running to rather than hitting the cutoff man.

The CPU should "concede" more doubles essentially in my opinion.
The problem is more with balls in the corner, and not balls in the gap.

But there are sliders for reaction time, fielder speed, and arm strength....
So since we are all just stating our opinions, we have the tools to fix what we think is wrong.

By no stretch is the game broken, we would just like to see it interpreted differently and for minor adjustments like these is why sliders exist.

True, but according to the stream they are still balancing stuff out, it's far from finished.
