That might have been 2k that had them. The Show has never had the Expos throwbacks to my knowledge.

The Expos jerseys where in MLB 09. That was the last time they were included in the Show.

Only disappointment so far is Retro Mode doesn't follow the huge bombs to their landing area. Maybe next year.

Something still in question is dusk sky color. Dark blue this time? We'll see...

How are the new face, body type, and equipment updates going to effect CAPs? Last year when I transferred to '16, for example, Franklin Pro Classic batting gloves switched with Franklin CFX Pro. There were a few more automatic switches that I noticed (bats, gloves, shoes, the new running styles). Are the faces and hair styles going to change to something random too? Hopefully things like that won't change on their own.

I had suggested in the uniform sock help thread that maybe they should add a striped option in CAP for teams that regularly have players wear both solid and striped socks, but my comment was deleted with a bunch of others. Hopefully it was seen and taken under consideration.

Yeah I hope they did try to implement that into the game. The majority of the players on the Indians prefer the stripes over the solids. I did notice in one of the gameplay vlogs that the giants had the same stripe design on their socks so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's in

Equipment will change based on what SCEA added/subtracted and where it's located in the editor. As for faces and hairstyles. From a tweet Ramone put out and what we know (they added 49 new heads and dropped the current 17 that already exist) is that we will have to start over on the faces. Unless Ramone or an artist can confirm the 17 old heads will transfer over with limited issues.

I tried asking this question during the stream a few times, but got no answer. Maybe they are waiting for the RTTS stream.

And I believe Ramone said they've already frozen the art for the game, so unless this is just an old build, we may be stuck with them.

The Cardinals have three uniforms in the style guide home, away, alt home

Then I really hope the Cardinals follow it in real life and stop using the Sunday and navy road caps.

At least I don't have to worry about the road alt belt being the wrong color anymore.

damn guys, game looks fantastic, honestly one of the biggest leaps forward in a single year for the franchise. The retro camera & hit variety alone are worth the purchase. Very excited for this year!

4. I think they just meant re-coloring when they refer to "grass tech" ??? I haven't noticed any change to grass texture, but the grass color does look brighter. Holding out hope for a bit more "grass tech" on the March 23rd graphical improvements deep dive stream.

Ramone already talked about this, I believe during an IGN interview. It basically means that the grass patterns are now "real". Which means the shading changes depending on the camera angle. Before 17 the colours were hard coded and would always look the same.

I hope this makes sense

Yes finally we get to see the new analog pitching meter! That homeplate on top is a little big for my liking but if we can still resize the meter its all good.


Look at the sun reflecting off the buildings!
A few years back the buildings outside of stadiums didn't even respond to sun/shadows.

The Marlins unused orange cap is in the game and the Rockies unused purple cap was in the game for years yet the Cardinals navy cap and the Dbacks red cap that were both used in 2016 aren't?

Man I wanna punch the style guide in the mouth.

They should make US in charge of that thing and we'd do a better job than the 30 teams do.

I don't know how to explain it, but... this looks like a PC game!

Are we sure this is on a native PS4 and not on a Pro? I'm not actually questioning it, but rather I'm in shock over the visual fidelity this year's game is offering!

I'm going to also have to check Target Field from last year, but that grass looks really good to me right now. They must've been playing with it a bit, for sure.

Pretty sure I remember seeing that everything they've shown us is the standard PS4.
