So are the alternate socks (striped socks) available this season? I've seen the uniforms, but all have standard, solid color socks.

Yeah this was cool thanks OP! I did not see the Brewers gold uniforms maybe they are not in the official MLB style guides. I was hoping for them though!

The Brewers discontinued the gold jersey a couple years ago, like the Cubs got rid of that alternate gray jersey with 'CUBS' on the front at the same time.

They are no longer in the style guide to my knowledge.


Now the Brewers still have a gold one that says 'Cerveceros' or something like that. Didn't they wear that only once last year though?

Correction: They did wear it only once. August 13th, 2016. That might be why the gold Hispanic one is omitted.

Me too. I know they stopped wearing them last year, but I have always wanted them in the game. However, sometimes when teams stop wearing a jersey they don't always remove it from the style guide.

I wish they still wore them actually. The Blue alts get boring, so some variety would be nice.

The Brewers also have a new bp cap that wasn't put in. It's blue with a yellow brim. They could have put that in and taken out the white paneled hat. They have a third bp warmup to go with this hat that wasn't put in either.

The Brewers never get too boring for me, I always take that Royal Blue/Gold BP Road Jersey, and pair it with the alternate 80s pinstripe pants as a Home alternate, and wear it on the Road with the powder blue Road Old Throwback pants.


Works completely as a Universal alternate for the old Brewers. I dig the hell out of seeing Robin Yount & Rollie Fingers play in them.

If u click the twins gif there's a moment where their red jersey and the Braves red jersey are on the screen at the same time and you can clearly see the twins have the correct brightness of red. That's the red that should be used on all red jerseys.

I'm sure I'm in the minority as only play with classic rosters but I'm disappointed in the classic jerseys. It seems that they are the same as the past few years with possibly the exception of the Mariners? I just feel the early 1900's jerseys could be better served with 60-80's jerseys. I'm disappointed not to have the Big Red Machine jerseys or the mid 70's Pirates jerseys. I'm so confused bused about this style guide and classic jerseys??? I wouldn't mind paying for certain classic jerseys via DLC. Or better yet, let us download logos etc... And make our own jerseys. It's only a game, let us have fun with it. NBA 2k17 did it right. The rebranding feature is great and is extremely popular and in no way adversely effects the NBA itself. With that being said, this is still the best sports game out there and I can't wait for it to come out.

^ Re the mid-seventies Pirates unis you mention: the beautiful mustard crown Pirates cap unis from that period have already been made for the PS4. What on earth is stopping The Show from bringing them back or at least offering them as a download? They've also dropped the orange front panels O's cap that I really like and failed to include the awesome teal crown M's alt cap from '94, a cap that is synonymous with their cover athlete. Hopefully they at least fixed the squatchee on the M's two-tone.

They've also continued to incorrectly pair multiple colored seventies tops with gray pants on the road; the Giants are especially bad in this department as it looks like they still have no pure white pants to pair with their pullover seventies styles. Speaking of the Giants, they kept the 'San Francisco' orange top instead of using the classic 'Giants' orange top that the team wore for couple TBTC games last year.

I'm still very excited about this year's game thanks to gameplay and animation improvements but the unis are a big disappointment AFAIC. I assume they're far easier to design than AI/animations too and that just makes it that much more frustrating that they don't get this aspect right. You could seriously hire just one dedicated uni geek for free and they'd be able to point all this stuff out in a hour or so of scrolling through the uni select screen. And if bureaucratic nonsense is the cause of these mistakes/omissions (many of which I haven't even touched on), MLB is really shooting itself in the foot: exposure to unis/caps in games like this can lead to increased merchandise sales. It just makes no sense to me on any level.

Sorry if this turns into a double post btw. I originally tried to directly respond to someone but the board doesn't seem to like new posters doing that so I went ahead and just added an arrow to my post instead.

I will agree that that older Pirates throwback is really out of place. One of the ugliest, unusable jerseys in the game.

Considering they already had the model in the game, it would've made more sense (like with the White Sox 70s Red pinstripe jerseys), to just leave the 70s Home white jersey with mustard cap in the game as the "Old Throwback" option, and create the road option by simply taking that exact white jersey model, and just coloring it gray.


Boom. New set of Pirates throwback jerseys in like literally seconds.
