Ok, noticed something during one of the latest teaser trailers and it's confirmed by the unis shown in the first post of this thread. I really can't believe it but: Griffey's primary M's jersey from the nineties will not be in this game. You know, the one used for the freaking steelbook! I must have been focused on my disappointment that the northwest green crown two-tone from '94 didn't make it (which Griffey looked great in btw) because I didn't notice that there's no TBTC from the mid-nineties included at all.

I can't stand the changes the M's made to this jersey a couple years ago and I figured that Griffey's inclusion and the original's use on the steelbook meant that it would be a shoe-in. Kind of dumbfounded actually. It's one thing to expect the team to get make Griffey's nineties brim teal rather than the current northwest green (I admit that only uni geeks are going to notice that) but including the uni seems pretty straightforward considering they got it right on the steelbook.

Below is the jersey included in the game first and then the jersey Griffey actually wore along with the awesome steelbook getting said jersey right. Notice that the northwest green takes a backseat to silver in the current incarnation.

One shouldn't jump to conclusions so fast and make assumptions. The steel book and it's design doesn't relate to jersey inclusion in anyway shape or form.

Definitely a bummer. The uniforms are pretty similar, so i can deal with that one, but it would've been nice to have some from his era. I was hoping for sleeveless Mariners and sleeveless Reds he wore. Those would've been dope.

Of course but I figured that something as obvious as getting the HOF inductee cover boy's most famous uni right would be a given. That the steelbook nailed it just made me that much more (over)confident.

The many other uni inaccuracies/omissions in The Show are irritating but I understand that it's mostly uni geeks and fans of specific teams that are gonna obsess over them. Failing to include the classic Griffey uni OTOH just kind of confuses me. The moment I saw that Griffey was on the cover I figured we'd be getting lots of nineties M's love. Oh well.
