Agree. And also listening to numerous games to get a better idea of the new guys overall. Hard to judge just on this specific stream.

The homerun replays are kinda killing me after a few years of the same look. To me, its still one of the more exciting moments in baseball and I would love to see more replays of the swing and the players homerun animation.

Its weird that they spent all this time motion capturing homerun animations but you dont really get to see them.

I see more of the managers face then of the player crushing the ball.

Maybe its the early build thing and there will be more in actual gameplay

Nope! I remember on the IGN stream, Ramone said replays were untouched! Speaking of managers, them celebrating homers has not changed either!

Did anyone notice that Adam Lind was wearing shades in field at begin of game and not later in game? Also, metal on spikes looks great.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Twitch Stream - Presentation & Commentary

I have my small quibbles with this game that most people have, and many have been tweaked this year for the better (ball physics and player models being among them), but there are still some things that I hope someday make changes for the better, one of which there may be a difference of opinion.

I'll capture a better shot later (when the sky was perhaps a bit lighter) when I'm able to, but it's the night sky.

It's that brownish color that's coming from the sunset that I'm just not a fan of. Ideally, the sky starts off blue in the day, and it appears black by night inside the stadium... but in between, we should be seeing that blue beginning to blacken. Maybe we'll see certain reflections because of a sunset and clouds and such that appear to give us various colors of yellow, orange or even purple... but the highlighted color should be blue.

I'd prefer this as it darkens, and it may just be me...

                  ... kind of like this...

... but I am hoping that one day this does see the light. (EDIT: no pun intended) (EDIT: no reverse pun intended technically lol)

Fortunately, on the field night lighting looks fantastic. It's only the sky I'm talking about here.

Is there supposed to be HDR in the PS4Pro version? If so, that will be visually monumental

Harold sounded really good! They need to have Dan interject more, he is so infrequent it makes it feel odd when he does talk. I do like the two new additions they sound different enough unlike the two they replaced.

On another note, I hope home plate gets fixed on the analog pitching meter. It's driving me nuts seeing it upside down.

I wish I had a dollar for eveyrtime someone asks about will the All star teams have the correct separate jerseys, jeez Russell must be sick of answering that question that 'it will crash the game'

The burgundy color of the Nationals red jersey, helmets, and caps is all the more striking when you see an ad for their caps just behind the batter and the ad has the correct color. Please put brightening red jerseys at the top of the 2018 to do list as far as uniform tweaks and corrections.

Wow all this sugarcoating !! Matt needs to go !!! Regardless of who they put in Matt should been replaced long ago he has very boring voice and don't give me this he's recorded so many lines you can't replace him cause we know anything new sounds better then the same thing and from the stream doesn't matter if he recorded new stuff still sounds conjurted not in the same area code as the other commentators ..

Great point. They are always asking us for color examples and there they have it in the game, right behind them.

The Mets orange looked very dull, as well. The washed-out colors really hold the game's graphics back from being some of the best, if not the best, in sports gaming.

Was also kind of hoping they'd keep the other commentary crew in the game for an alternate presentation. They have all those lines already. Would keep the MLB package from getting old quickly.

Maybe the contracts were up on Karros and Lyons, or it would take up too much space on the disc for all that memory, but was surprised they just completely replaced them.
