Man, this thread is full of Debbie-Downers. These are great additions! And there will be more to touch on in the blog and stream - you can't realistically expect them to cram in EVERY change in a 2 minute video. C'mon guys.

No one said the features weren't good. We just said underwhelming. And for people, like myself, who play every game there isn't much here for us. We know there is still potentially more info to come but this video was underwhelming to us.

Cool additions, but nothing there for me.

Same here. Plus I look at it like "Gamestop Mondays" aren't really targeted at me anyway.


I fully expect there will be at least a few things I care about added/upgraded, but I also imagine it's probably difficult to properly convey the awesomeness of improved roster or lineup logic (as potential examples) in a 2 minute video...lol

Gotta love how people judge an entire mode and its updates on a 1:56 video. I would be willing to bet a lot has been added to this mode. Its just too bad we wont find out any more information until the game launches.

Oh wait isn't there a VLog tomorrow and a Deep Dive Twitch Stream on Thursday?

I mean based of the Amazon discriptions of features. It seems they covered most of the new additions. But I'll hold off on final judgement till Thursday.

I gotta be honest I don't really see why this post was necessary. No one in this thread has said "Franchise mode sucks this year" Everyone has been along the lines of "this video was underwhelming. I hope there is more in the VLOG or stream." Which I think is a fair assesment

I don't think everyone was judging the video rather stating that this video was very underwhelming compared to other Gamestop Monday videos. I'm sure there was more added but this video didn't hint to that at all.

I really struggle to complete an entire season on franchise mode, so to me it's good to have more options. The "critical situation" thing seems a very nice addition and maybe, while i'm not a manage-only-guy, even the new text simulation mode. One thing i really appreciate is the ability to jump in and out from a mode to another one. I can easily see myself mix all the options they gave us, just to keep the season fresh and fun. Very good news.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I really don't see why a lot of the posts in this thread are felt to be necessary. But you all get to express your thoughts why should I not be allowed to express mine?

I thought the various options they offered for playing through franchise mode were really compelling.

I love the idea of being able to quick-manage a game or many games, while also retaining the ability to jump in and actually play longer stretches of those games.

I also really love the idea of being able to hop in and play critical moments in games where statistical milestones are involved, or where there's a crunch-time situation.

That kind of makes you feel like you're "in" on more of the key moments in your franchise without having to devote a whole 45 minutes or more to each played game. It also adds to the memory factor of the franchise experience, which I'm big on.

I really am impressed by the way SCEA gives you so many ways to enjoy the game. Kudos! #can'twait

You definitely are. But when your opinion is just trashing others opinions that is when I take offense. There are lots of people who have said they like the new features too. Awesome! But your previous post contained no opinion on the new features or improvements. It was going after other peoples thoughts on them. Anyways I would rather keep this thread about the video so that's all I will say about that.
