I will probably get a head start on my summer CAPs for my boys here in Louisville. Brendan is going to be a top five pick this year and we have several more top 10 or so round guys.

McKay, yes. He is a good dude. He was in several of my classes here at Louisville and I know him pretty well. I'm stoked for him as I am sure you are. He is going to go down as the best baseball player in the history of our school by the end of this year.

I'll see new face scans for all teams. Then tweak sliders a bit and play Astros vs Mets at spring training stadium.

So excited to get this game, I feel this is the first time we'll see PS4 illustrate it's powers at last. I have been very disappointed at (14-16) iterations.

Curious because I have not heard one way or the other:

Every time SDS had done facial comparisons from '16 to '17, they had made mention that the face scans were the exact same (main reason I believe is so we didn't believe they were employing any trickery of a new face scan being the reason it looks better).

So when people are saying they want to see the "new face scans" this year, are you implying that some players actually got new face scans, or are you referring to the new art done on all of the faces this year? Like, I know that some rookies and what not will obviously have new face scans, but I believe Rizzo had the same face scan, for instance.

It's probably just hit-or-miss based on who came in for an updated scan this year, yeah?

I mentioned something a month ago in a different thread about the panels being closed almost always when the roof is closed. Never heard back from anyone.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you're saying that according to BucksInSix you're probably looking for closed panels with a closed roof. I'm guessing it wasn't that way in last year's game? Can't remember one way or the other. Either way, I guess that pic won't help much.

If it wasn't mentioned in a stadium feedback thread though, I don't know how much they tackle stuff like that otherwise.

Yeah, not sure if they wanted to take on another huge project of adding closed panels only a year removed from adding retractable roofs. I am not asking for separate options, just that the panels are closed when the roof is, because that is the case 99% of the time at Miller when the roof is shut. But, in no way is it a "deal breaker". Just something that us Wisconsin Folk wish would be implemented.

Don't want to derail this thread, so I will add the first thing I will do is check out all the player faces, equipment and jerseys. The strides they made this year are ridiculous in an annual cycle!

First thing I'll do is hop into RTTS! Byron Reed will be back. Hopefully I can actually stick to Right Field this time instead of switching to Left Field like I had to do to get called up in my current RTTS D-Backs file.

I believe they mean players that got new face scans.Not new art.

An example would be Noah Syndergaard. He had a generic face last year, but got an updated face scan for this year.

Dansby Swanson also got a scan in according to Ramone in one of the streams.

You can see Swanson with face scan when dev team showed all the team unis. He looks incredible!

Normally I inspect the default 40-man rosters for every team when I first fire up the game and for sure this year this will continue to be a high priority task. But I think I will do a couple of things first.

1) I will carry over a MLB 16 Franchise into MLB 17 as I am curious to see what happens to the player appearances, especially what will happen to the appearances of the CAP players.

2) Going to play a few innings in the new Atlanta stadium as well the old Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium and the Metrodome.

Then I'll get back into inspecting the rosters.

First thing I want to do is play a game in the earliest of April at the Colorado Rockies stadium and see if players breath shows in the air
