It was brought up for perspective. Nothing more nothing less. The post even makes it clear that criticism of the devs, regardless of size is fine when done correctly which wasn't happening much at the time.
When criticism isn't constructive, it's perfectly acceptable to just say "the thread(s) are steering away from being constructive and are becoming confrontational and disrespectful."

There's absolutely no reason to bring up the size of the studio.

And again, is 80 even small? Because that sounds large to me. So if it was for perspective it didn't land with everyone.

THAT is what you can't do. You can criticize the game constructively as you wish.

Right, I get it. I just don't understand why the size of the studio matters either way.

If the criticism isn't constructive, the studio size doesn't matter.

If the criticism is constructive, the studio size still doesn't matter.

Size of the studio is for informational purposes. Most don't get it and need to set their expectations correctly. Some think they can do tons of stuff that they simply don't have the resources to do.

I remember when this forum used to be fun and engaging. It was fun while it lasted.

When the criticism is "Why didn't x get addressed this year?! Why can't they put more into z feature?" then the size of the dev does matter, as Mill said, to gain perspective. With a smaller/finite amount of developers (actual coders and such) the team has to utilize, they must prioritize where these resources are allocated.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
