All good points. I just wish the franchise portion would have gotten more attention. I love the game it is a great experience but Im betting if you took a pole people would rather see that 1 guy doing franchise spend 8 months implementing interleague rotations rather then spend 8 months putting in quick manage. Graphics, gameplay, realism all on point but the fact we still after 12 interations and all of the technology available can't figure out a way to rotate teams from year to year is really incredible. Madden does it, All Star Baseball 2005 did it. High Heat did it. But 12 years later 2017 can't get it done. Implementing some old game into The Show is great and all I guess but put the things that matter in the game and to me for franchise mode a rotating interleague schedule should have been a priority over spending 8 months on Quick manage

I would have been pretty disappointed if they spent 8 months implementing rotating interleague schedules actually...

not the case. they have stated in twitch feeds previously that this year they are not revealing all things and saving some for when you get it in your hands...

Yeah, I'm trying to wrap my mind around why schedules are such a tricky endeavour.
Maybe the easiest way would be instead of creating a set in stone schedule for year to year,
the AL-NL games could be set as customisable and the rest of the gams could still be set as the same from year to year.

If that was the case, then it would have made sense to show it off in the deep dive.

In years past yes I would agree with you 100%. This year not so much. let me explain why.

they have stated in the previous videos this year that they are NOT giving all the info for all modes so that you will have something to look forward to when you start up the game this year.. not to have you know everything prior to purchase.

Not for this year. Ramone stated it was too difficult to pull off rotating inter-league schedules at this point. Just not enough time or resources.

I would think that putting in a line or lines of code that would be a randomizer of sorts for that and narrow it to whatever field you need it too would work.. just my brain thinking here.

You guys have to remember that Interleague play isn't just randomly scheduled in real life, there is a lot that goes into it. Sure, they could randomize, but I feel that if they are going to do it, they'll want to do it accurately.

The ball physics alone should get you excited enough to buy, but to each his own. I suspect you would be happier with something like OOTP baseball.

Hasn't the mlb schedules been done by the same couple every year for about over a decade now?

Both games are great but you while you can contrast the Show and OOTP, to paraphrase a great man, comparing them is like 'comparing apples to pencils". I think the Show mom's would may be better served by OOTP, but for actually getting in the batters box for a few hacks, or stepping on the mound for a few tosses, nothing compares to the Show.

Maybe some us play both. They are both wonderful and great games and I play each one to scratch a different itch.

That being said. I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a deeper franchise mode in The Show or for that matter better 3D presentation in OOTP.

But it is all about expectations, respect and common courtesy on how you go about asking for these things from a developer.

As stated before, what a guy does in real life in 2017, shouldn't have any influence on what he's doing in your Franchise in 2025.



I agree, it should be in Play Now games. Not season mode though, because season works the same as far as being its own unique universe too.

I agree with you about 2017 stats influencing franchise in 2025. I am not an expert on 2k so not sure how IE is implemented. But I don't think there were complaints in that regard about IE. IE is just one aspect of it. 2k franchise play provides mounds of on screen data that is not, I don't think, tied to IE. For instance, if you have a rookie player, for which there is no IE data, after the rookie has 10 at bats, the OSD will start to give statistical data on that player. So if it is not IE per se, then the engine that generates the statistical data should be revealed in OSD much much more frequently. It is done beautifully in 2k without the broadcasters even discussing it.

They used to, but I believe they went computerized about 10 years ago. I know for certain the schedule is computer generated now

Idea:

Move Houston back to the NL where they belong and this issue is resolved.
