I would LOVE to see the WBC included in this game!!! I like watching the chemistry of the different countries when they compete, the fact that it is an elimination tournament adds something different to the game. Also, I would THINK that the growing appeal of the sport would lend itself to more people buying the game so as to root for their country. I think that there are some folks in the US who don't care much for the tournament because the US cant seem to win it despite the MLB originating and taking place here. In addition, the WBC would only take place every 4 years so it is definately doable

This is obviously a personal opinion and not necessarily relevant to the poll but....

Those who are not on the WBC wave are missing out and it is really unfortunate. The fact that so many people do not want to see it in the game, lets me know they aren't watching in real life. Because if you were, you would DEMAND it be in the game the way World Cup is in FIFA.

It is the best baseball you are going to see played probably all year. If you do not want to watch it because "it does not count" (it does) or because USA is probably going to be eliminated this week.....then I do not think you are a baseball fan....you might be an MLB fan or a fan of your team....but not a baseball fan.

I've watched/recorded and watched, every game of the WBC. I am a baseball fanatic. I grew up playing the game, I've coached the game, and I attend as much live event baseball as I can during any given season. But having the WBC in the Show isn't at the top of my personal priority list.

I'd love to have it in The Show, actually. I'm also surprised that so many others wouldn't want it. This is obviously a hypothetical question, but the reactions are indicative of how Americans view the WBC vs. other countries, as El_MaYiMbE mentioned.

One thing I do think, is that it would increase exposure for MLBTS in areas outside of North America. I think they would eat that up. Especially, since PYS seems to be out of the picture (smh, Konami).

If this pipe dream was to happen, good news is they have 4 years to make it happen.

Totally agree with the statement.

I would love for The Show to include the WBC in the future. Konami has the license for WBC and they did include a game a few years back with the WBC feature. PYS has slowly disappeared. If MLBTS where to get the license in the future I would love for it to be included.

The emotion that is shown in some of the games by the teams is amazing, and the atmosphere inside the stadiums is good for baseball. I've certainly enjoyed watching the games and the next few rounds has some loaded teams playing against each other.

I don't think the WBC would be put in this game, since it only happens every four years and would take away resources from other modes.

However, that being said, I would love to see WBC teams/tournaments in the game. I think it would be a lot of fun to control a WBC team and try and win the tournament. Perhaps they could put some new stadiums in the game that are similar to some of the WBC stadiums (such as the Tokyo Dome, etc.). Also, perhaps they could implement some new sound effects, such as the sound of a vuvuzela in certain games/for certain teams.

Once again, don't think this will happen anytime soon, but I would love to see it in the game.

So you are not person I am referring to....When I said not into the WBC I meant the real tournament, not necessarily in MLB The Show.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion obviously but I am more referring to those aren't watching it on TV and then in turn do not want it The Show because they are not even bothering to see it, so they don't know how good the tournament is.

That kinda skews the numbers a bit, since some voting no really do not even care....If you like the real tournament and still vote no, to me thats more indicative of the true market thats out there for the potential mode.

It would probably be a cool little RTTS feature. I know I always enjoyed it when I performed well enough to make the National team when playing FIFA.

Honestly, I understand your points and you have been constructive with everyone's feedback.

However, I'm confused why you even made a poll if you say that most of the no's are invalid because you assume most of them aren't "baseball fans."

It would be great to add WBC in The Show. This tournament is amazing and all the passion and energy players of different teams are putting in it is outstanding. Wow, it seems every time they're playing a World Series game. It's great baseball and deserve to be part of our beloved show.

I would personally have to say yes on this, but only when it's relevant (aka, not till the next WBC, or right before it. It depends I guess since it starts before the season so it would be 2020 I think, that way it would give your RTTS guy a chance to take part the following year, could fit a narrative).

I think it would be better suited for the next go around because then I feel like by then they would get everyone's major problems out of the way (might just be me but I think next year or the year after we in for a big update for franchise, but that's just me being hopeful). After that, I think the WBC would give you more to look forward to every 4 years (I'm unfortunately one of those people that never go more than 2 years into RTTS, which will hopefully change with the new "pave your path" thing which I'm excited for).

Maybe for franchise mode it might add some depth (slightly) in the fact that you can tell a certain player you don't want him to play in the WBC because you obviously don't want him to get injuried. Which might make him a little upset, or you let him play and then he'll be happy as can be and starts the season off just a little faster (but adversely finished the season a little slower because he's tired out? Who knows).

Just a couple ideas. I really like the WBC but now is not the time. But maybe, just maybe, they could make it part of their plans in the future.

In hindsight I should not have made a poll and let it just be an open discussion.I may have baited people into thinking that it is a bad idea to have WBC because it takes away development effort from something else without knowing if it would or wouldn't.

So in a sense I spoiled my own polling results.

And calling people none baseball fans maybe a little too much on my part I agree, but the point I tried to make with it remains. Many people (mostly Americans) do not watch the games because they do not have a rooting interest even though USA has one of the best teams. However, that call out was a side note and not necessarily related to the original poll question, but does shed some light as to why there might be more negativity towards the concept than at least I thought.

I was not expecting 100% voting yes but was surprised there were a lot of just straight "nope, not interested"....very similar to responses I hear from some on the tournament itself despite it being very popular on an International level.

I agree, I do not want to give SCEA any ideas but I would pay a small fee to have WBC mode be a DLC during WBC years. By small I mean like $5-$10.

Games like Destiny, COD, The Division, etc....charge to give you more maps and missions, in MLB you can spend money to get more digital cards for DD. There is a already a precedence for paying to access more content. If the only way they can deliver the WBC "add-on" is by hiring more devs (i.e. more cost) and off-setting it with a fee I am all for it....provided its done correctly and to its fullest potential.

Those who have no interest....don't even have to look that way.

There's a difference between enjoying watching the WBC every 4 years and wanting it in the video game.

I absolutely love watching the WBC every time it comes around. It's extremely entertaining and exciting. The crowds love it. And it's competitive baseball in March.

Do I think it's necessary to have it in the show? Not really. It'd be cool, but at the costs of licensing and not every player is MLB Players so they'd have to be random/editable to be realistic rosters. The Japan and Cuba teams have zero MLB players. That's a lot of random players or a lot of editing.

I wouldn't be so against it, but at this point I don't see it as one of the things that needs to be in the game. It would be cool to play in during RTTS or even Franchise every 4 years.

You can make your own WBC just putting players on MLB rosters and making your own tournament. A lot of work obviously, but there's a way to do it. Because of that, I don't see it officially coming to The Show. If they did pull it off, sweet I would give it a whirl and enjoy it. But if not, that's OK with me.

The Japan and Cuba teams have zero MLB players. That's a lot of random players or a lot of editing.

It is also a lot to edit 60 teams worth of minor league players, but there has been a whole group of people who dedicate a lot of time to making sure that ALL minor league players (read generated players) are properly edited in the game, every year.

There were MLB games (not The Show) in the past who had no farm system to play with. If there was an MLB game who did not have that today, that would be a crime.

Having to edit full teams like Japan and Cuba is NOT the reason to not add the WBC.

You can make your own WBC just putting players on MLB rosters and making your own tournament.

No...the tournament has a lot of rules and strategy specific the tournament. Plus part of the fun is being able to rock your country color and flag.
