Re: MLB 17: Little Things Thread

Returning to the Show after the first release that added year to year saves, so not sure when it was added, and while it is a very little thing to be sure, I appreciate it.

Entire stadiums now seem to have proper physics and collisions. Particularly the camera nests next to dugouts. It was always a pet peeve of mine when a foul ball hit an invisible wall instead of dropping into the nest.

Last game I hit a line drive foul into a nest, and it must have hit the bottom corner because it came flying back out at a 45 degree angle.

Hoping that I see a bad throw to a base where the ball ends up there to see what happens

The retractable roof stadiums still don't seem to have collision detection where they close it up (either the roof or glass areas). The rest seems pretty good though, you're right.

I little thing I would love to see implemented is when a pitcher pitches in real life, the speed of the pitch is always displayed on the screen. In The Show, the speed is displayed only if the ball isn't hit. I would love to see the speed displayed even if the batter hits a home run off of my pitcher.

Perhaps it was coincidence, but Brad Ziegler (a submarine pitcher) fielded a ground ball, and he threw sideways to first base.

            A few ideas:
            1. Sleeves that adjust from wrist to top sleeve.
            2. The Retro stirrups need to come up 3 inches. The white in front gets covered up from the cleats.
            3. 154 season with 16 teams.
            4. Baggy uniforms.
5.Cut off sleeves look of the 50's Red Legs.
            6. The 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Uniforms home and away.
            7. The 1957 Milwaukee Braves uniforms. Home and away.
            8. Offer numbers that will stick you pick a number and then you pick it as default.

When a guy hits a single home run I love the fact that they announce how many home runs he has hit in a season.
Unfortunately it doesn't continue after he hits more than one home run in a game.
I would love it if on his second or third homerun the announcers would say that's his third home run of the game 26th home run of the season...
Doesn't take much to make me happy. thank you.

A baseball season before the expansion teams and before many of the top teams moved I'd like to see the Los Angeles Dodgers back in Brooklyn I like to see the Atlanta Braves back in Milwaukee or Boston or the Oakland Athletics back in Kansas City etc etc etc . I think that'd be pretty cool to go along with a classic season maybe have a choice of three different decades that would keep us roster Builders pretty busy. No kidding though guys what an amazing game I just enjoying the heck out of it

When I played shortstop and third base I was taught to fire the ball hard every time. Not to be concerned how fast the runner was or how close he was to first base just fire it hard. Just be consistent and you'll make less throwing errors.
Maybe it's just me but I don't like double clutching tapping their gloves having a picnic or whatever just fire the ball it just seems more natural to me. Not every play has to be a close play

These seem more like 'wishlist' ideas than appreciation for a little thing already in the game.

My pitcher was in trouble, threw a ball to send the count to 2-0 and my catcher spontaneously ran out to the mound to talk to him. I can't say I remember seeing this before and it was realistic enough that it brought a smile to my face. Little things make this game what it is.

I really like seeing when the occasional batter walkup sequence appears where you see the upcoming batter chat with the opposing team's catcher. That is true realism. I wish they would expand on batter walkup animations like that for the future

Something I have never heard before. Red Sox in town for 3 in my Yankees franchise and Matty V dropped a Howard Stern reference, shouting "Baba Booey!" when Michael Brantley went deep with a 2 run shot off of Pomerantz in a 3-1 win.

Balls hit the bags. They have done it in bizarre ways, but also realistic ways. Just nice to see that it exists. I have plenty of video of the times it has hit. I'll put them together someday.

After I finished a game in my Rockies franchise at Coors Field, the PA announcer gave directions to the light rail and specific lines and names of stops. also gave times to get on at Union Station which were 100% correct since I actually take the light rail every day. Very minor but I was blown away
